  1. Zombie Short
  2.
  3.
  4. Scene One-In which Girl is stumbling through the sidewalks of town in a high stupor.
  5.
  6. [In the sequences (shot at night) that make the scene there will be virtually no dialogue, with the only audible voice coming from Girl in the shape of high giggling.]
  7.
  8. First Sequence- Girl closes a door behind her and begins to walk on the sidewalk. She staggers and holds on to walls and poles to prevent her from falling. As the camera shots begin to unfold to make up the sequence a man will run across the street (barely visible in the shot) to give the sense that there is something eerie going on.
  9.
  10. Second Sequence- Girl continues walking down the street and suddenly stops to look around the whole street. She finds it odd that there is no movement in the street and says “where is everybody?” She quickly shrugs things off and begins to walk again.
  11.
  12. Third Sequence- As Girl continues walking she is startled by a loud noise coming from the behind her and further down the streets. A noise that is followed by a quick scream. She begins to walk toward the sound as if to make out what it is that made the noise. She is then startled again by the ringing of her phone. She struggles to find it and when she does the ringing has stopped but she discovers many calls from her family and friends, which she finds odd. As Girl begins to call her friend back a man runs past her and yells “fucking run!” She is confused and still high but begins to increase her pace when she sees two growling people running toward her.
  13.
  14. Fourth Sequence- She notices a thick foliage near her. She thinks that if she can hide in the forest she will be able to hide from these maniacs. (This, obviously a dumb idea seems brilliant due to her state of mind.)
  15.
  16.
  17. Scene Two- Forest & Hallucinations
  18.
  19. Fifth Sequence- She, in her abrupt run through the forest loses her phone. She, now with no means of contact tries to make her way back to town. This is exceedingly hard because after she stopped running she decided to shoot up her remaining dosage of GOAT. In this sequence she is trying to navigate through the forest. She is not sure whether the things she sees (infected) are real or just byproducts of the drugs. Regardless, she tries her best to escape these “things.”
  20.
  21. Scene Three- Warehouse & Ending
  22.
  23. Sixth Sequence- Girl makes her way to an abandoned warehouse [the one located near Osmar's house]. Here she see's papers and binders thrown around the floor. This is where she finds out about the infected and how GOAT is keeping her from turning. How we approach this could go one of several ways.
  24.
  25. 1. One way is that she goes through the papers and finds a newspaper (in a binder) giving her the news. She then looks deeper through the binder and finds that this was someone's research n the subject and notices that one of the main ingredients in the vaccine is the high inducing chemical in GOAT. She then rummages her pockets for any more GOAT and finds that she has run out. She then notices a vial on the floor with a hastily written “GOAT Trials” note book next to it. It lists ingredients.
  26.
  27. 2. Instead of the notes she could find a person about to (die or turn) with the binder. She then asks (him/her) what's going on. They explain the whole situation (we can write a back-story or just a general idea of what's happening) then the person explains that he/she's been trying to find a cure and they were coming close to one. He then notices her track marks and says “do you by any chance use GOAT?”.
  28.
  29. [Camera pans to her track marks and pans out to a bite as he/she says this “flash back of her being bit during her state of hallucination.]
  30.
  31. “Because you've been bit, but you haven’t turned.” She, embarrassed says “yes, I've been trying to quit.” He/she says “No! If you want to live you've got to keep doing GOAT! One of the active ingredients in GOAT is part of the vaccine we were developing.” She then rummages her pockets for any more GOAT and notices she's run out. The scientist then hands her a vial of GOAT he then says “This amount of GOAT only fights off the infection for 4 hours.” He/hands her a list and says “this...*” then dies.
  32. Seventh Sequence-After one of these scenes she can either choose to fight off the infection until she can find the rest of the ingredients to make the vaccine that would make her completely immune or she can take the GOAT as it is and stages off infection for four hours and hopefully she finds more GOAT and the ingredients.
  33.
  34. [*We can either leave this last part open to interpretation, but it might be easier for the audience to pick up on this if the scientist told her the options.]
  35.
  36. [We can leave the ending open if we want to maybe do a part two later or we can end it with her shooting up]
  37. Explanations for certain events-
  38.
  39. Q: Why was the scientist in a rundown warehouse?
  40. A: The scientist was looking for more GOAT since one of the major chemicals in the vaccine is also the main ingredient in GOAT he was looking for some junkies that are usually seen hanging around in the warehouse.
  41. Q: What happened to the scientist?
  42. A: He/she was either stabbed by a junky or injured by an infected [depending whether we want the scientist to turn or die]
  43.
  44. Q: What's GOAT?
  45. A: GOAT is a cheaper version of heroin which uses a different active ingredient. This ingredient is coincidentally also what's keeping the infection from spreading.
  46.
  47. Q: What caused the infection?
  48. A:...
