Chapter 47-Part 7

After spending 10 minutes chasing an angry Hana through the mall and apologizing to countless people she bumped into in her warpath, we finally catch her.

"Let me go! I'm telling daddy!", she screams.

"No, I'M telling dad why you didn't get Takkun, and I'll do it again next time you act up.", Tsundere-kun says.

"It's not fair!", she pouts.

"That's life. I have the money he gave me to buy it, which means I have the authority.", he says to her.

I clear my throat, and speak up.

"Don't you think that's just a little unfair?", I ask him.

"Not a chance, baka. You saw what she did.", Tsundere-kun says, gripping her by the ear.

"Now, manju(sweet bun)~", I respond

"No! That's her problem. The old man lets her get away with too much, and mom ain't around enough to make them get in gear.", he shouts, irritated.

"Unfortunately for this little one...", he continues while still holding a whimpering Hana, "I am not the old man."

"No. Takkun.", he says, looking her in the eyes.

"I HATE YOU!", she screams.

The expression turned into a grin, then a laugh.

"No, you don't.", he says, having heard that line a thousand times before.

"I MEAN IT THIS TIME!", she screams.

He holds her.

"Who loves Oniichan?", he coos in a mocking voice.

"Stop it!", she yells, struggling to break free.

"Um, babe...I think you should stop.", I say to him.

"It's fine, baka. She's only playing it up.", he says as she eventually calms down in his arms.

"Takkun...", she cries out softly.

"Not gonna happen.", he says.

"REEEH!?", she responds, starting to tear up again.

"You can try again next weekend. How does that sound?", he says, rubbing her long pink hair.

She suddenly feels hopeful, despite her disappointment.

"Kay!", she says, clinging to him.

I smile on, saying nothing, as I watch the sibling reconciliation.

Moments later, a certain person walks up, holding a duck shaped object wrapped up in a plastic bag.

"I believe you wanted this?", he says, handing it to her.

Hana grabbed it, opening it up.

"TAKKUN!", she squeaks happily, hugging the gift.

"Thank you.", Tsundere-kun mouths, looking up at him.

"Of course. Social connections is what I do best.", Deadpan-kun responds, smiling.
