  3. Notes
  4. - Josh points out that the Dragoon was something Mario could take a hit from. However, this confused me, because there was no scan of Mario taking said hit. I assumed it was meant as "his body is still in one piece," even though he flies off the screen and explodes when that happens in-game.
  5. - Josh says Mario would be "pummeling Mahito to death", but did not stip a mindset for Mario. As far as I know, he's in the 2020 Olympic Games kicking back some cold ones with the boys.
  6. - I guess I get what you were going for, Josh, with that collage of scans, but I don't think it actually helped me.
  7. - Abe, your statpost is way too long.

  9. Mario vs Mahito

  11. Abe's wincon against Mario is piercing him with impossible-to-miss piercing attacks. Josh argues against this with a microsoft powerpoint effect credits scan in which Mario does not actually get hit (https://gfycat.com/deliciousgenerouskouprey). I'm not treading any new ground the other judges haven't, and I know people are antsy for results, so Mahito wins.

  13. Luigi vs Morlun
  14.
  15. Luigi's lightning ball is never countered by Abe, and Abe can never really escape the hole that Josh opens with the fact that he scales to someone weaker than the tiersetter. On the other hand, Josh does not counter the stealth or life force absorption that Morlun possesses. Luigi isn't proven to be able to detect Morlun, BUT because Morlun has to touch an enemy to start his life drain, and Boomerang was able to survive it for at least a few seconds, Luigi is able to pull off a needed hit upon feeling contact with Morlun, which he can do with his argued speed. Luigi wins.

  17. Mega Man vs Hanami
  18.
  19. Mega Man's versatility is the nail in the coffin for Hanami, who doesn't have great speed as argued by Josh, which I find believable. There's plenty of offensive options Mega Man has then, which are ranged and ensure he doesn't need to be within range of Hanami's melee (even though it's likely he would be able to dodge due to the speed difference), so Hanami's greater strength requires more effort to utilize.

  21. Josh wins 2-1.
