  1. [01:00] Rain Multhunder says, "I don't really like talking about this, but since I'm helping you, and my state of mind might get in the way sometimes, I thought you should know."
  2. [01:05] A hand would move to rest upon Rain's shoulder. "I understand; truly. Thank you for informing me. I am sorry to hear that your marriage has taken a turn for the south..."
  3.
  4. "But Rain, she is right. You've changed. Not for the better, I'd argue. You need to take a step back, and look at where this hatred is taking you. Even I have sensed your bloodlust growing; it is palpable and destructive."
  5.
  6. The King would smile, considering Rain a long time friend, and even a brother to him. "I would, if I may, suggest taking a step backwards in time. What brought you to Tokiwa? Where were your dates? When did you stop those things that brought you close with her?"
  7.
  8. "If you wish to fix things, that is where I would begin. For that is where you went astray; your heart and hopes and dreams were attached to that woman and your family, what did they become second to?"
  9. (Dragmire Ruinfall)
  10.
  11. [01:18] He went... astray?
  12.
  13. Even the King noticed it? The man was now confused, his eyes staring at the enourmous hand now resting on his shoulder in surprise. Had he truly put his Family after something else... if yes, the wha-Ah!
  14.
  15. Rain's eyes widen and his face is overcome with regret, several scenes passing through his mind. Truly, for the last few years, the man had felt a burning desire for vengeance consuming his heart at times, it's even what led him to fight Nerin...
  16.
  17. A bitter smile forms on his face.
  18.
  19. "I see..."
  20.
  21. A small, hollow laugh escapes his lips. These were things he had realized, yes, but it's not because of it that he thought maybe they were completely the reason. Now he feels as though he was na idiot hitting his head against a brickwall. Dragmire having just grabbed his head and shoved it into the wall, breaking it.
  22.
  23. "I lost many things... my kindness... some of my honesty... sense of trust... and cheerfulness. I truly lost many things with all that happened since that year I met you... matters related to Shavethia or not."
  24.
  25. Looking up at Dragmire's eyes, he nodded his head.
  26.
  27. "Tokiwa must truly feel by now that I'm not the man she loved... I'm truly not as I am..."
  28.
  29. Thinking about it, he believes that she may not even want him back due to it.
  30. (Rain Multhunder)
  31.
  32. [01:25] "You CAN get those things back, Rain." The man would say, "You must learn forgiveness, for both yourself and others. Not every Knight of Osrona is evil; not every city watchman corrupt; not every Witch, cruel. And you? Whatever weight is on your shoulders, you yourself have placed there."
  33.
  34. "Come." The King would release the man's shoulder, turning to walk towards one of the doors of the Guild Hall, "We shall drink. We shall speak not of our futures, but of our desires, of what we want and wish for, what our hearts ache because of! Yes, it is about time that we had a true moment to bond as men!"
  35.
  36. He shoved the door open with almost the force needed to knock it off it's hinges, the boom likely being heard upstairs. Inside, was the kitchen!
  37. (Dragmire Ruinfall)
  38.
  39. [01:26] Dragmire busts out some Shavetian Ale, offering a bottle to Rain!
  40. (Dragmire Ruinfall)
  41.
  42. [01:30] The man nodded his head... Dragmire wasn't wrong, that much was certainly true.
  43.
  44. Following them to the kitchen, he accepts the Ale that's offered to him, he hasn't drank alcohol that many times in his life, but he liked it, which is why he feared it to some extent, because he believes if he was foolish, he could easily get addicted to it.
  45.
  46. "Thanks... by the way, before we start, how did the talk with Tara go? I suppose you tried to recruit her?"
  47.
  48. Saying that, he doesn't drink from his ale yet, just opens it.
  49. (Rain Multhunder)
  50.
  51. [01:37] Rain would be able to immediately smell the rich and overpowering scent of the Shavetian ale. Hops. Spices. Soothing reed. It all promised an absolute descent into a drunken stupor; perhaps that was just what the doctor had ordered?
  52.
  53. He popped open his own bottle, and immediately took a large drink of it without hesitation. "That would be correct, I did, and she is not the sort that we are looking for. She lacks a warrior's heart, even if she agrees with our ideals. It is a shame; but some are simply not cut out for the life of conquest we must live."
  54.
  55. The man would drink again, and grin. "She was quite worried about YOU though. Asking many questions about your health, concerned you were going too far with it all. I too, shared those thoughts, but I also know exactly how strong you are."
  56.
  57. A laugh was given.
  58.
  59. "You are a man amongst men, Rain, and if anyone can claw their way out from a pit of self-destruction, it would be you. I know that you are even stronger than I, in spirit and will, for even with the things you've done and seen, you are not broken! You never will be! YOU ARE AN UNBREAKABLE SHAVETIAN RAIN!"
  60. (Dragmire Ruinfall)
  61.
  62. [01:38] Blake casually walks into the room, giving both Rain and Dragmire a smirk.
  63. (Blake Augustus)
  64.
  65. [01:38] Blake Augustus says, "So he has a face after all."
  66. [01:42] Blake Augustus says, "I'll let you two do your thing. I am expecting company."
  67. [01:49] The man blinks for a moment, recognizing the faint smell of soothing reed mixed with his drink and shrugged. Well, he was not going to refuse it.
  68.
  69. Listening to Dragmire and taking a drink of his own bottle while listening to them, he raised na eyebrow upon hearing the part about Tara. Not that she wasn't fit for this all, he already expected that, but that she was worried about thing.
  70.
  71. Scratching he back of his head, slightly unsure on what to say of that, he simply smiles at Dragmire at first before taking a large swig of his ale which causes him to feel a small burning on the back of his throat before a refreshing feeling going down his body.
  72.
  73. "Hello... and you're not the first one to say that. Quite a few people always comment on it when they see me without a hood. Though it's not like I'm -always- wearing it."
  74.
  75. Turning his attention back to Dragmire, he laughed.
  76.
  77. "And I see, thanks. It means a lot that you have that much confidence in me Dragmire... I really appreciate it. Specially coming from you.
  78.
  79. You know... I don't think I ever told you, but I never followed you for your ambitions or anything you know? You gave me hope to be something more, you are still giving me that after I lost Faith in the Church... So I would follow you even if you weren't a King... this time, I promise you, I won't back away."
  80.
  81. He would make sure to keep that promise. Wait... shit... was the drink having such an effect that he got all sappy? Clearing his throat, he tries to comment on something else.
  82.
  83. Also, about Tara... yeah... she seems to be quite worried about me since we started talking. We were quick to become friends. After I told her I picked a fight with an Exarch and lost, she seems to want to keep an eye on me to make sure I won't do anything stupid again."
  84.
  85. Shrugging at that
  86. (Rain Multhunder)
  87.
  88. [01:50] Rain shrugs at that last part and goes silent, taking another sip of his ale.
  89. (Rain Multhunder)
  90.
  91. [02:40] "That is the goal. Hope." Dragmire would reply, drinking more from his ale. The brew was strong, and even started to affect the mighty behemoth. His cheeks were a tad redder than the norm. "Sometimes in life, you must simply stop, and ask yourself... What would a true Man do in this situation?"
  92.
  93. A chuckle.
  94.
  95. "The answer can sometimes be surprising. It is not always to win, not always to be the loudest, not always to throw the first punch. Sometimes being a man means recognizing one's own weakness."
  96.
  97. "I am sure you've questioned my actions from time to time. But believe me; so do I. The façade of confidence I weave with everything is merely a part of my role. I must make decisions, and act upon them instantly, without ever being allowed to look back with doubt."
  98.
  99. "And that is what my hope, that the path I forge is one that we can walk into for a brighter future for Shavetia. One where we reclaim the desert for ourselves. One where our lineages grow and prosper, and leave just as amazing legacies as we ourselves wrote."
  100.
  101. "That is Shavetia. Hope."
  102.
  103. A drink; as the man went over his own mulling thoughts. Rain had gone far down a dark road. How far would the King go down his own, to make his claim upon the world? The crystal in his chest flickered ominously as he thought on the matter.
  104. (Dragmire Ruinfall)
  105.
  106. [03:01] Hope...
  107.
  108. Dreams.
  109.
  110. A brighter future.
  111.
  112. These words would put a few cracks on the Multhunder's attitude, another hollow laugh escaping him as he shook his head, taking another large swig of the alcohol, by this point getting quite drunk while listening to Dragmire, his cheeks somewhat red as well.
  113.
  114. He hadn't drank as much as Dragmire but was more drunk than them, that much was natural.
  115.
  116. Back to the conversation topic. Those words would have resonated more deeply with the man's heart than one might've initially thought, and now somewhat drunk, he would let himself speak his mind.
  117.
  118. "Y'know... in the past... I never really cared about materials gains and the like... I just wanted to help people, make others happy..."
  119.
  120. He pulls out a pendant that's always hidden under his cloak, around his neck. The symbol of Iberl.
  121.
  122. "To represent the Star that chose me when I took the mantle of the Faith when I was sixteen...I-I had... I had wanted to represent it... the Poles..."
  123.
  124. It seemed his speech had become somewhat affected if he started to get slower on speaking.
  125.
  126. "To be a light that shines bright above others... Illuminating their path and driving away the darkness... helping them achieve a brighter future.
  127.
  128. I think I know what to do now..."
  129.
  130. In his drunk state, he realizes what he needed to work on first.
  131.
  132. His Faith.
  133.
  134. It all started with it. His kindness, his desire to help others. All began from watching members of the Church being exactly like that... however... these days such a Faith was slowly dwindling in his heart.
  135.
  136. That's what he needs to work on.
  137.
  138. To reignite that Faith, and become the man that he once was.
  139. (Rain Multhunder)
  140.
  141. [03:08] A smile.
  142.
  143. "Theria does not have a church. While many of it's people are cutthroats, there are those that would likely be inspired by the stars, just like you were." The King would explain, perhaps setting a stepping stone before the man. "It is but a thought, and an option."
  144.
  145. "I think here, whatever you wish, could prosper. It is not under the thumb of the Order; to have the life squished out of it as they try to assert themselves in all roles."
  146.
  147. "And I know that there are others in the land whom worship the stars; though you may have to clean up your image a bit. Your name is one associated with strife now. Clear the air about it; devote yourself to the good of people and man, and Shavetia will reap the benefits of your actions as well."
  148.
  149. Why did sometimes, Dragmire seem like a booming idiot, and yet other moments, a sage? He had a strange, simplistic knowledge of problems within the world and had straightforward methods of fixing them. Yet, when it came to the world of politics, law and order, he was aloof and stumbling into walls at every turn.
  150. (Dragmire Ruinfall)
  151.
  152. [03:16] Nodding his head fervently at what Dragmire had said, he should probably on work on those things... No, probably was for the indecisive. He will do it... however... Not yet.
