The Sea was an almost empty space. Various worlds lay scattered throughout it, but they weren’t so densely packed that you would stumble across one by wandering haphazardly. Unaware of how long he spent floating there, around the time he gave up conscious thought, he came across another world. He felt like it was a miracle, but the Sea had depth to it, meaning anyone inside would naturally sink downward. There also seemed to be something like a current, meaning the chances of him reaching this particular world were relatively high. At the time, he didn’t know any of that.

〝海〟 は ほぼ 何 も ない 空間 だ。 様々 な 世界 が どこ かには 散らばっ て いる はず なの だ が、 適当 に うろつき 回っ て 発見 できる ほどに 世界 が 密集 し て いる わけ では ない。 　 そんな 何 も ない〝 海〟 で どれ ほどの 時 を 過ごし た のか わから ない が、 考える のを やめ た ころ に テイラー は ある 世界 へと 辿り 着い た。 　 奇跡的 な 偶然 による もの にも 思える が、〝 海〟 には 深 さが あり、 自然 と 下方 へと 沈ん で いく もの らしい。 流れ の よう な もの も ある らしく、 その 世界 に 辿り 着く 可能性 は 比較的 高い との こと だっ た が、 この 時 の テイラー には そんな こと は 知り よう も なかっ た。
