Directions&plans 2017

Ongoing speed goals, for end of year:

- Cut the Checkers in SMRPG any%. Mill says he has a surprise for me when I do this and the suspense is killing me
- WR in SMRPG any% would be nice to have but not necessary
- Get consistent at blindfolded super jumps. Best is 73
- Top 300 in Super Mario Kart NTSC. This game's leaderboard is IL based so I chip away at my times when I don't have time for anything else.
- Sub 2 in Earthbound Pajama%
* DONE MAR 11 DURING GFA8 MARATHON! Sub 30 in SML2 any% glitchless
- Sub 45 in DKC2 any%
- Complete 1 run of SMRPG Most of the stuff. Will take this more seriously in 2018.
- Complete 1 run of Super MariHour Challenge. Sub 1 hour will be a 2018 goal.
- Start learning Kirby Super Star 100%. Complete a run in 2018.




Marathons:

* DONE, raising $1100+ for charity! -- I will be running SMRPG any% in the No Reset Marathon at LAN ETS, in Montreal, Quebec! I'm very excited to be involved with the Quebec speedrun community for this event. This marathon is from Feb 10-12. https://horaro.org/noresets2017/schedule
* DONE, I finished 1st out of 5 excellent runners! -- I will be participating in an SMRPG any% race for SNES Super Stars marathon in March http://snessuperstars.org
* DONE, with a sub 30 PB during the marathon! -- I am running Super Mario Land 2 at Games Finished Adequately on March 11! Tune in at twitch.tv/torontotoptiers
- I have been accepted to run SMRPG any% for RPG Limit Break in mid-May! Still working out the details of how I will get there. This is a huge breakthrough for me and I am really looking forward to it. http://rpglimitbreak.com
- My SMRPG any% submission has also been accepted to NASA! Scheduling is tight for me at this event but hopefully it works out.
- I will tentatively be running SMRPG any% at Anime North at the end of May. This event will be benefiting Sick Kids Hospital.
- I will not be attending SGDQ due to work.
- I plan on submitting to Smash the Record. SMRPG for sure, maybe some other games too.
- I will most likely be submitting SMRPG to AGDQ 2018.




Stream schedule, for the sake of transparency:

I work during weekdays and spend Monday nights hanging out with friends. Additionally, my stream schedule will likely revolve a lot around my boyfriend's work schedule. He works evenings and likes to have his friends over on his days off, and his work schedule is not consistent. My stream setup is in the main living area so I don't use it when he has his friends over. I would ideally like to stream most of Wednesday-Sunday, but we'll see what life has to offer.




Other stream stuff:

In the future I would like to explore Famicom and N64 games a little more, I have had these consoles modded to output RGB and have ordered a new equipment setup to convert my stream to RGB. This also will hopefully fix my audio issues as I'll be switching to line-in. My good friend Jimmyjoe is generously giving a SCART switcher to me, which will certainly help cut down on setup time between games in the Super MariHour Challenge. Unfortunately one of the key pieces of equipment I need is having shipping problems so it may be a while before this upgrade happens.
