Mike had more or less just been observing the masses of people. Trying to understand them, what made them all tic.  He himself having no real means to communicate with the others as he couldn't really make sounds.  He'd found someone that could communicate with their mind and this had interested him greatly. He had been trying to replicate what they had  done, and nothing was coming from it but after a few months he's managed to actually was able to manage to project his thoughts to someone else. His mind working overtime to try to figure out and understand the process.

His mind's ability to adapt and understand things more easily do to his embodiment had allowed him to more easily grasp various techniques. But going further to break down the thing to it's barest elements.

He was trying his best to grasp more but instead of moving to try to have other's teach him. He built a bar to host various matches as well as setting up a system for the patrons to tell him a story for a free drink.

He wasn't sure what how well his power would guide him but he was determined to expand his knowledge and power. And with each story and every fight he watched play out in his bar. He grew to understand how fighting should work. He would understand more about this world in time.
