Cthulhu Mythos thoughts

Of all "new" cthulhu-related media, I must say I am most fond of Conarium, and how it recontextualizes "elder god" to be just a title given to the Elder Things, themselves called Old Ones in some printings of At the Mountains of Madness, and the power of the elder sigil to be one of social power by association to them, rather than one of legitimate arcane protection. I find appreciation in it because I think of all newer media, it probably aligns most in terms of the original vision for the setting, before Lovecraft's death and the subsequent takeover of the setting by Derleth.
