Wrex picks up Femtur

Garrus sniffled quietly behind the Mako as Wrex trundled up to her. The large reptilian krogan grunted as he gazed down at the pathetic turian.

"Why are you sitting here sobbing like a pyjak? Not much for YOU to be crying about. It's not like some alien species decided to inflict a sterility plague on you and destroy your culture, history, military, and civilization," he said.

"And it's not like you had to destroy a cure for this plague because a member of that same species decided to use it to manipulate and control your people for his own purposes."

"And it's not like you have the urge to violently murder and rape the salarian and turian scum that did this to you. All things considered, you're doing pretty good."

Garrus sighed and said, "I'm sorry, Wrex. It's... Shepard just said something very... cold to me. That's all. I'll be ok in a little while."

Wrex folded his arms across his chest.

"Hmmm," he said, "he's making fun of you again?"

"Worse than that, this time."

"Well, he didn't throw you off the ship. Don't take what he says to heart anyways. He's a Council Spectre--he could just kill you if he really didn't like you. But clearly he finds you useful enough to keep around," he said.

Garrus looked up at him. "Really? He likes me?"

"I don't know if I'd say THAT, but you're a decent shot. For a birdbrain."

She emitted another weak sob and hung her chin over her curled knees.

"Awww, cheer up, turian. We may be grounded by the Council and waiting for Saren to come kill us all, but that doesn't mean we have to mope. Come on, I'll take you out."

He extended a hand to her, and taking it, she heaved herself onto her two-toed feet.

"You'd do that? I thought you hated turians," Garrus beamed. Her mouth clicked a little and her eyes lit up. Did someone actually care about how she felt? For once?

Wrex just stood there as she gushed, arms crossed and eyes blank.

"You're not wrong. I just figured we'd skip to the fun part, since I don't know how much time we have. The Commander's probably cooking up some crazy plan again to bust us out, so we shouldn't take too long."

"Oh. Well, I've got an apartment in the Wards. It's only five minutes from the docking bay."
