- English Any% Route
- Major Differences from JP Any% Route:
- - Store ISoT instead of SoDT at hidden owl so that you don't have to worry about a day transition AND you want it to be day so that you can do SoDT Pirate Cutscene Skip (this saves ~18s compared to the timestop method that JP is restricted to using and works because English has different Day to Night transitions than JP). Also (only applicable to high-level gameplay), since English plays ISoT instead of SoDT, time saved from perfect gameplay will always be rewarded because there will never be a transition that you need to wait for (like there is in the JP route)
- - Pirate's Fortress: The pirate in the hookshot room will catch you on English, regardless of the time of day, so the next fastest thing to do is superslide up the stairs before hookshot room, turn zora, shoot zora boomerangs at the pirate on the bridge to stun her, then use 1 bomb + 2 chus to hover onto the bridge (climbing the ladder in the center of PF is slower, but can be done for easier routes that do not have chus). Next, you enter the door above the hookshot room and empty and catch your bugs, dupe bombs, then use timestop to get to the other side of the cutscene trigger that is in front of the barred window that you will need to shoot a deku bubble through. After you are on the other side and have cancelled timestop, get to the right side of the barred window (so that you barely avoid activately the cutscene trigger) and shoot a deku bubble at the beehive (setup for getting into position is described here: https://pastebin.com/Ef1KEcSX)
- - SoDT Pirate Cutscene Skip: hookshot the left tree on the turtle to avoid activating the cutscene trigger, target and hold right to move into the loading zone trigger and pull ocarina before it can start (the timing is lenient) and play SoDT to make it Night 1. - - Woodfall Temple SoT storage: The distance Zora fin slashes move you is slightly different on English and JP, so English has to do the ocarina dive in Woodfall a little differently (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIwZefxzbdw)
- - Woodfall BK Skip: For the most part this will be the same as JP, but you will have slightly fewer chus than JP route because of the hover in PF. You can opt to do the ISG mega strat (which is actually optimal for both English and JP), or just do an extra megaflip at a different point in your hover.
- - Lullaby Skip: English link cannot simply slash his sword to avoid falling off the ledge when the wind blows him, so you must get ISG immediately. Also, since on English you will not lose speed when HESSing if you hit a ledge while you have ISG (on JP you do lose your speed), you can also opt to do a faster HESS strat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NdV2Gs0XOw
- - Wizrobe fight: English does not have power crouch stabs, so you cannot store a Deku Jumpslash and use ISG to do an optimal wizrobe fight like you can on JP. A strat that is just as fast that English can do is use a broken deku stick. First shoot the wizrobe with hookshot, then get broken deku stick (crouch stab wall 2 times, stick JS), then use broken deku stick Jumpslashes for the last 3 hits on the wizrobe (you will have to time your jumpslashes for the last 2 hits in order to skip the wizrobe cutscene, similarly to how it is done in 100%)
- - Light Arrow Deathwarp: English text is too slow for the fast deathwarp after light arrows to work, so you only have to do a normal deathwarp
- - Majora: It is unsure what the optimal strat for Majora on English is since we do not have power crouch stabs for the last 2 phases. You can opt to skip picking up deku sticks in Termina Field (if English were to get deku sticks, it would want 2 so that it could do a fast broken deku strat which requires 2 sticks; see MrGrunz's any% TAS) and you could either use quickspins or infinite zora fins for incarnation and then either use 40 crouch stabs or 20 jumpslashes (with jumpslash cancels or else they won't be fast enough) on wrath
