  1. Hello!
  2.
  3. Introducing... The Pokedex Redone.
  4.
  5. What is The Pokedex Redone? The Pokedex Redone is a mod that aims to "redo" the Pokedex starting in [Gen 1] and working its way up to [Gen 7].
  6.
  7. So how does it work? Well, we will "replace" each Pokemon with a different Pokemon. For example, take Bulbasaur. It is a 3-stage evolution tree that shares a type. This means Bulbasaur's "replacement" will also be 3-stage and share a type. But that's not all. Bulbasaur has a 318 base stat total. This means Bulbasaur's "replacement" will also have to have a 318 BST.
  8.
  9. So what are the rules? Well, take Bulbasaur, again. Its lowest stat is 45 and its highest stat is 65. The first rule of the mod is that you can only make stats be 10 max less than the lowest stat, and 10 max greater than the highest stat.
  10.
  11. Okay, so what about moves? Well, take Bulbasaur for the third time - I don't know how else to explain this. It learns 6 grass moves and 2 poison moves. That's a total of 8 stab moves. This being said, the replacement can only have either 8 stab moves if it is dual type, or the total number of stab moves divided by 2 and rounded down, in this case 4, stab moves if its replacement is a single type. This includes level-up moves and tm/hm moves. Event moves can be added at the council's discretion and do not contribute toward totals.
  12.
  13. So what about non-stab? Well, we will count how many non-stab moves the Pokemon to be replaced has. In Bulbasaur's case, there are 15 non-stab moves. Now, all of them are normal, except for Bide, Reflect, and Rest. I will count Bide type as normal type. What I want to do is to have the new Pokemon learn the number of normal type moves times .85, rounded up, and allow it to learn any other kind of move in the rest of the slots. So in this case, 13 * .85 is 11.05, which is 12 rounded up. So the replacement has to learn 12 normal-type moves. The other 3 moves can be any type. The replacement Pokemon also can only learn up to 2 non-stab moves with over 60 base power. Pre-evos can't learn hyper beam. Final evos get an exception for hyper beam, but it still counts toward the total. Evolved Pokémon inherit the moves of their pre-evolved forms, and those moves count toward the totals. Totals are them recalculated based on the number of moves the evolution has.
  14.
  15. So how are the Pokemon decided? Well, there will be a council consisting of me, The Cruelest, and Spooktune. We will look at the submissions and decide what we think is best.
  16.
  17. The council will be able to adjust the number of moves times .25 rounded up. Also, some Pokemon will be council-only. This way we can speed up the process. Also, council members can adjust any stat by up to 10.
