F-List has been around for a long time. Initially founded in 2009, we have grown to become one of the most notable fictional roleplay and creative writing websites on the internet. At any point of the day, over 8,000 of you are online. Thanks to you, F-List is the place to be.

For those of you who have been with us since the beginning, you know we’ve tried a few different ways to support the site as it grows. Some ideas worked, some didn’t, others were just lost to time. F-List has undergone a lot of changes since 2009 and what we were then isn’t what we are now. We knew we wanted to create a new system to help support the site, but there was a lot of work we needed to do internally to even begin approaching this.

For a long time, we had to really think about what F-List should look like. How can we organize ourselves to support the site? We spent a long time thinking about this... probably too much time thinking about this. We’ve taken the chance to reorganize internally, update our documentation on the Wiki, and bring on lots of talented new staff members. With this work done, we are ready to move forward.

We have a lot of thing we would like to create for the community. Some things we have in the pipeline include:

F-Chat 3.0 for Desktop out of beta (In beta now!)
F-Chat 3.0 for mobile devices (in development)
F-Chat 3.0 web client
A completely overhauled, redesigned, better, faster, stronger website
Bring in more developers and designers for faster implementation of the above
Bolster site stability with a stronger backend architecture

These aren’t just ideas, these are things we are working on right now. However, none of this comes fast or cheap.

At the time, we aren’t offering any patron rewards. Our development resources are very limited, and we didn’t want to spend time making rewards if this never takes off. If enough people are interested, creating rewards for our amazing supporters will be one of our highest priorities.
