  1. Err, lets back it up. This might be long, but the short of it is, yes, I am in search of a career change.
  2.
  3. The long bit is basically I am contacted by recruiters several times a month, and I sometimes misunderstandings like this pop up, though this is a new one. So maybe if I can explain where I am coming from you can tell me where the miscommunication is.
  4.
  5. I am currently interviewing. In fact, I have an interview scheduled for later today.
  6.
  7. When I am contacted by recruiters I almost always hear them out. This situation was a bit different, as I was contacted by your colleague Jeff first. I spoke with Jeff and am currently working with him for another placement, I would presume this information was passed along to you. It would make sense that as far as you are concerned I am a "qualified lead'.
  8.
  9. We spoke on the phone. I tried to give you all the information I could to you to explain my current situation. I tried to answer all of your questions completely and in detail. I hope I gave you enough information to understand my current situation completely. I believe we ended the conversation with the understanding I would like to move forward.
  10.
  11. I don't have unlimited amounts of time. If I didn't want a career change I wouldn't waste my time leading recruiters on via phone calls and emails.
  12.
  13. Looking for a new job sucks. I'm not mentally prepared to start cold calling companies and start selling myself, which as far as I can see is really the only reason I'd want an up to date resume (Even then I'm not sure I'd list my current position considering how technically boring and how little time I've been here). However, I am perfectly content with letting you guys do what you do best and help the client and myself fill in the gaps. I understand that might be made a bit more difficult without an up to date resume, but I hope I gave you enough information over the phone so that you could explain my situation to your client.
  14.
  15. If this was a bit terse, I apologize. You were easy to talk to on the phone and someone I would like to work with. I understand my reply might have been alarming and surprising, but given the situation I was just as surprised by your response.
