  1. Good evening my fellow Paxtonians.
  2.
  3.
  4. Thank you for joining what will be the most important corp meeting that we have had in Goonswarm to date.
  5.
  6. Over the past few months, we have noticed a shift in the game, in corp and in the alliance.
  7.
  8. This shift is one that we do not enjoy seeing and is a shift which is overall negative for the game and for us.
  9.
  10. As a corp, we brand ourselves as a community and where RL is greater than EVE. We play this game because we want to have fun, we want to kill our enemies and build ourselves up in a challenging world.and most of all, play the game together.
  11.
  12. Fun is the keyword.
  13.
  14. We as corp leadership have been mulling over a decision for months now and some over the years about what EVE used to be and what the corp used to be, but with a focus on the future, not the past. After a decision was unanimously agreed we have executed a plan which we have had for many years, as all good corps do when joining large alliances.
  15.
  16. We have decided to leave Goonswarm.
  17.
  18. There are many reasons why we think that being in Goonswarm is no longer a good fit for us:
  19. Content during peacetime is terrible, slow and sometimes non-existent
  20. There shouldn’t even be a concept of peacetime in Nullsec, we should always be in a fight with someone. SIGs used to be good for this but have now gone stale.
  21. The alliance itself is losing FC’s due to the toxicity of the leadership there - I’ve seen the pings and the disagreements
  22. The alliance seems to have stagnated. We have leadership shooting blue titans, supers and rorqs because they aren't fit right to satiate their own boredom
  23. The alliance is now introducing fines too for those who are not fit correctly after we collectively mocked and shat on Darkness for doing the same - currently there is conflict in the alliance leadership channel on how that should be enforced.
  24. We have an alliance that will remove access to Goonswarm Services and demand you be kicked if you appear suspicious or accidently click the “Spam” button on an email from GSF Forums - don’t do this. We would be expected to remove you without being shown evidence or rationale - something that has never sat well and has happened previous times for us.
  25. We have to burn 3 regions to get an equal fight and even then, being goons makes people reluctant to engage. This adds a good half an hour to the start and end of any corp fleet
  26. The alliance leadership that deals with corp directors is incredibly toxic and is yet seen as acceptable to senior alliance leadership at the highest levels, this is then filtered down to members via their corp leadership. We have historically tried to buffer you guys from this but it’s wrong that it occurs.
  27. The 250b dread welp that was orchestrated by Pittsburgh against XiX a few weeks ago was dealt with terribly. GSF locked all the alliance members out of all forward staging fortizars and were looking to make him a scapegoat because he dared to create content. In the meantime there are hundreds of billions of assets locked away in Catch because a kneejerk reaction was the solution rather than talking to all FCs. The fact that the alliance did not like the attempt to create content left a bad taste in my mouth - and the fight was legit in regards to NIPs and diplo agreements. Since I wrote up these notes Pittsburgh has been kicked from the alliance and has now joined Trigger Happy along with Clavo who also left this week.
  28. I could go on, as there are many more reasons to leave, but let’s look to the future.
  29.
  30. Some of you may remember our days in GENTS where we made a difference as a corp, where all member’s input was taken onboard by alliance leadership. In goonswarm, we are just a number of warm bodies, where if we fall under 50 real people in corp, we are a “Dead Ass Shit Station”.
  31.
  32. We were going to approach GSF leadership after this meeting and will let them know that we will be leaving the alliance, however their ESI tools rang some alarm bells and I was messaged by alliance leadership asking if we were leaving. I replied that we were and braced ourselves for any backlash. So far there is none, but we should remain cautious.. We intend to leave the alliance in a friendly and orderly manner. We will ask for one to two weeks to move out as is the norm for a corp leaving in good standing, but can do this in one week if needed. As part of the corporation plan, we have secured all valuable corp assets so that we are freed up to help you guys move your stuff to 1DQ to either load onto a capital ship ready to move out, or to sell or ship to Jita using ITL.
  33.
  34. So I give you all a choice:
  35. You can stay in Goonswarm to continue to be a member of the alliance - we will bear you no ill grudge as each of you have a reason for playing and that’s OK. We do not have a recommended corp for you guys to merge into though (FSJ).
  36. You can join us in our next adventure in nullsec which we will now be discussing:
  37. We have an invite to join an alliance called Trigger Happy which is based in Tribute and at present has a lot going on with small gang warfare. To show you how much fun this is at present, please see the following sov map:

  39.
  40. We have chosen Trigger Happy for the following reasons:
  41. The alliance is PVP focused and has a ton of active FCs. In fact it is nearly all the good ones from GSF
  42. The leadership is pretty much a lot of ex-space violence with newer guys in there too. It isn’t centered around one person. In this case even though the alliance leader is Kendarr, he has an active team of equally good FCs and leadership to man the helm when needed.
  43. They are active in all timezones which we are
  44. They have regular fleet fights which is hard to come by unless you are in a big nullsec bloc
  45. The corp leadership teams are actually listened to as are you the corp and alliance members - we are no longer a number, but a person again
  46. They tick all the boxes for SRP, Ratting, Mining space, citadel rules etc blah blah - all the stuff that allows us to keep stuff running that you have in Delve
  47. They are next to action - they will arrange fights, they will temp blue for a fleet etc, but they will never be part of a coalition as will their neighbours
  48. The alliance is currently growing nicely and have had a few corps join this month along with established FCs still joining (Pitts and Clavo this week alone)
  49. With Trigger Happy being a much smaller alliance, we all have a real chance of making a difference and a meaningful contribution to the alliance. You the corp member can help the alliance and corp by doing things like JF Services, Ship Contracts, Ship Building, Market Seeding, Mining and Selling Minerals to the market et cetera. There really is an opportunity not just to help the corp and alliance, but to make a lot of isk yourself.
  50. We are no longer just ratting and mining for isk with nothing to spend the isk on apart from titans and supers that never get used, we will be still earning isk other ways whilst taking part in epic fights!
  51. And lastly and also the most important point - they know how to have fun!
  52. So, what to do next?
  53. If you wish to stay with GSF, then we would recommend F-S-J as a good corp that has similar values to us. We will vouch for you if one is needed.
  54. If you want to move with us, then we recommend you move with Caps, with Dreads as the preferred ship, then Carriers and Faxes. Blops and JFs can come too, but we will only be running one chain to the North.
  55. If you do not have capitals or cant fly them, then we recommend selling up in Delve (1DQ Market) and then moving to our staging system in Abath when ready in an Interceptor or Bomber. Depending on how long the move takes, we may have a few fleets from here or a suicide gank op in Highsec whilst we wait on other members extract. Once the move starts, further orders will be issued.
  56. Sell any supers/titans if you still have them as we will not be taking these out of Imperium Space - contact Nil for assistance with this if needed
  57. Any subcaps you want to keep/move, store in your Dread/Carrier/Fax
  58. All caps need 150k of topes and must have JDC 5
  59. Sell bulky stuff and fitted ships in 1DQ and use ITL to ship any repackaged ships/items etc to Jita
  60. We will have a JF service from Jita to our new home
  61. We hope to have 1-2 weeks to do this, but plan for one
  62. Our Fortizars will be coming down next week, so make sure you are moved out.
  63. When you are ready to move, move your Caps/JFs/BLOPs to Z3V-1W in NPC Delve - we will ping when lighting cynos
  64. Finally, if you are coming with us, close down your jabber now - you will no longer need to use this and we may get pings from alliance leadership trying to poach members from our corp when leaving (like a few years ago during a ping meltdown) - just close it down and forget about it - our corp leadership will still be in jabber.
  65.
  66. It also goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyways - no drama please against the alliance. We are still in GSF for now and will still follow their rules - when we leave on our own accord, we will not be shooting them and will be moving far away from them. We do not want to burn bridges. Though you will be allowed to shoot them once some time has passed if you like.
  67.
  68. I do hope that all made sense, and now please do start to ask questions in our Discord Lounge Channel or on comms. We will note the questions below so that those who couldn’t make this can read these and as always a write up / recording will be available on the forums later.
  69.
  70. We also have guys in comms that you will recognise from Paxton leadership who have been in Trigger Happy for a few weeks now and can also help to answer any questions you have.
  71.
