- 2013 Nimble's New Years' ME Tournament
- Let's try this again edition
- Mystery Egg tournaments are fun, and what better way to participate in them than during the turn of the year? The only pre-requisite I ask of all participants is one of two things:
- IF YOU HAVE BEEN TRADING SINCE GEN V:
- you'll be fine, for the most part. I don't know EVERYONE who has been trading since V, but We'll be able to look in the archives if we're at any point doubtful of your existence in /wfg/ before October the 12th.
- IF YOU STARTED TRADING DURING GEN VI:
- I'm not asking for you to be active, but if you only show up once every two weeks, that's not good enough. I hope I won't have a problem with DNAs from newfriends, so if you plan on participating, pull your own weight, you in da big leagues now.
- Egg Collection
- -will begin the 24th of November, 2013
- -you will need to send a list of the six pokemon you are giving(in egg form) as a PM to Nimble on challonge.
- -coffs will be collecting eggs IIRC so after you've sent me a PM, you're free to give him the eggs.
- -will end on the 18th of December, 2013
- Training
- -will last from the 18th to the 31st of Decemeber, 2013
- -No requistite as to how it needs to be done, but don't be that guy who starts evolving their team and giving them moves 10 minutes before their match
- -Most of us old farts actually do into competitive, not just enjoy watching our pokémon fuck, so keep that in mind.
- Matches
- -Will be in swiss format. don't know what swiss format is? Look it up. Swiss allows us to have a manageable round-robin archetype without all the bullshit challonge gives us. The top 4 participants after 4 rounds will face each other Single Elimination style.
- -All matches will be Best 2 of 3. All matches will need to be saved, and given a Battle Video ID. all matches should also be attached to your bracket. if you don't know how to do so, just post in the thread, either coffs or I will do it for you.
- -Each Swiss group should take a week, so when you get into a new group every round, make sure to battle as many of the players as they are available. if needed, set up dates to battle. I'm hoping to get 16 participants, so hopefully each Swiss pairing will be of 4.
- Clauses
- -Sleep Clause
- -Evasion Clause
- -Moody Clause
- -OT clause(as in, you hatched all 6 mons)
- After that, you can go nuts on what you put on your mons. your team will be randomized, so hopefully we don't need to worry about OP teams appearing.
