  3. The occasional circle around the slow moving man darting off only to return it eyed the snake with caution. Of all the birds that had been the subject of near swallowing this little shit was rather scrappy. Having on more than a few occasions impailed the would be attacker in the head so deeply the brain was punctured. Standing in the road swinging the sword once more though there was little on her part besides holding on as the blade did all the work whilst the 'children' were ordered to stay sitting on the side near the big tree. Not until the sounds of chittering from above filled the air as Sorren grew closer did the movements slow. Despite the blades size it moved freely like silk in water the humming intensified as the guest arrived as if feeling him out. "Kids say hello." Sheathing the blade in its hip scabard as the cardinal came over to sit on her shoulder excitedly flitting and warbling. "Yes yes I feel it, you did good go tuck in with the others around the camp." Shrugging her shoulder to get it to shoo off those orbs studied the man that was coming closer now. "I can make a fire to warm your bones if you need it." Not as if there were a need for it with just one body that ran on the colder side anyhow.]

  5. Sorren nodded. "Of course. It is nice to meet you all." He smiled softly at the children despite the varying attitudes. "I am Sorren," he told them, although he presumed the woman had his name. The male took a few seconds to examine the child spirits, and then looked back at Alieth. "All right. I am more than willing to provide help, but the rate can certainly vary," he explained then, finally getting down to business. He would have to find out a great deal-- such as making sure she hadn't been the cause of the childrens' deaths. It did not seem likely but one could never be too careful. "For myself, what gives me the most benefit are: information, skillsets, time, and rumors. In that order. Money can be negotiated as well, but is not my first choice," he explained then. "I d o not expect you to volunteer everything about yourself, but knowing what you are willing to exchange for my work is useful. To keep it brief, my main skill is negotiations, whether with spirits or demons or fairy folk or a few others, I usually can manage something." Here, Malum poked his head out of Sorren's jacket again to sniff the air and stare at the group. "I also can do summonings and exorcisms and the like, but even more so than with negotiations, such things take time and preparation, and overall are rather easier to go wrong." He certainly had a bit of an odd way of doing things, but at least he eventually did get to the points he was making. Still, even more so than him gaining something, his primary concern was for the childrens' emotional and mental wellbeing.
