Boku dake ga Inai Machi

the whole him going back and getting a second chance at school shit as an adult who knows better struck a chord pretty hard. idk I feel like this show would be great for plenty of people as an avenue to draw out any parallels to unpack trauma with. 10/10 show for that stuff. that and idk i guess i like when the anime kid w the bad parents gets a mom who makes her breakfast,,,

the whole like mini-crime-drama w the serial killer was a little weird tho. Finding out who it was was heckin wild, and there were a ton of super mega tense moments, but end of it I don't think it made all that much sense? That or it kinda just felt flat.

Also, the show is about an adult in a kid's body trying to get close to a little girl. While there was fortunately a lot less of it than you'd expect from an anime with that premise, there was still an uncomfortable amount of jokes alluding to the MC being attracted to her. And then the whole thing with him tsundereing a HS girl as current day 29yr(?) old, and then him getting with her at the end anyways by an act of fate, which aside from being yikes was completely hamfisted and unnecessary, especially as an ending.
