Limebloods: History and Present

[What happened to the Lime Caste?]
   During the Early Years of Her Imperious Conquera’s Reign, long before anybody decided they should be keeping detailed records of Trollian Ongoings, The Limebloods were an established and fairly common Lowblood Caste. At some point, a point that is entirely difficult if not absolutely impossible to pin down, it is believed that some Limebloods abused their Psionic Prowess in an uncoordinated attempt to Overthrow Highbloods and served as the start for their entire Caste to be deemed Dangerous by the Imperialists. An extremely successful extermination Campaign was carried out, making the existence of Limebloods and their descendants all but null in the continued reign of Trollian Power.

Limebloods, at their core, are Extremely Powerful Psionics. This power surpasses Goldbloods and can, in some cases, rival Purpleblooded Chucklevoodoos in power. Lime Psionics can range from being Physical, to Metaphysical, to Emotional in nature. The wide Variety of Limeblooded Psionics, mixed with their powerful attunement made their Rebellious Nature particularly Dangerous for Highbloods and Seadwellers and led to their eventual Extermination.


[Do Limebloods still exist?]
   If you asked any Imperial Officer, firstly they would warn you about the Legalities of asking about the Forbidden Caste, secondly they would assure you that (legally speaking) Limebloods have been extinct for the past 5,000 Sweeps.

Technically speaking, this is true. Very very -exceedingly- rarely is a Limeblood hatched on long-established Colonies whose Mother Grubs share the same Brooding Pools as Mother Grubs from before the Extermination. When one of these Limebloods is wriggled, they are almost always Culled unless stolen beforehand or otherwise intervened with.

Under current Rule and current Hemospectrum, Limebloods are considered ‘Mutant Bloods’ and are Illegal both in concept and practice. They are treated the same way as other Non-Lime Mutants and have no Legal Rights to protection.


[Types of Limebloods]
   The few limebloods who manage to avoid culling and reach adulthood fall into two distinct categories:

Yellowgreen Limebloods whose hue cusps either Gold or Olive are generally sorted as Gold or Olive under the assumption that a true Limeblood is incredibly rare and would not live into adulthood— Limebloods who cusp Gold or Olive are even rarer than normal Limes and -must- hide the strength of their Psionics to avoid culling under suspicion of their Caste.

True Limebloods whose hue is pure, unmistakable Lime and is easily distinguishable as such. These members of the Caste will be culled on sight by Hemoloyals, Cavern Workers, and Drones (if color is visible). The only way this kind of Limeblood may be able to survive is if they are avidly Hemoanonymous and never get exposed.
