Speed stuff/stream stuff: Been doing soul searching on this front, and keep coming to the same conclusion of games/franchises I like a lot that I always come to - DKC 1/3 (I know, I'm demented), Zeldas (3D and 2D), 2D Marios (SMW namely, but smb2 and LL are cool too), Metal Gear Solid 1/2/3, a few select FPS' and then a smattering of 'other' that range from 12m obscure ass platformers to like, Secret of Mana and FFVII that wouldn't be mainstay games. So uh, I think it's time to put serious though into narrowing those choices down and figure out where my wants and priorities are - I feel like speedruns are probably the answer to what I've been looking for as an 'anchor'  to my stream which currently exists as an erratic chain of casual game playthroughs, so I want w/e I ultimately end up picking to be something I feel I can get heaps of mileage out of, which is why I'm leaning towards Zeldas (plural) or MGS. Either way, I've been flirting w/ these commitments for too long and it's time to pursue them. Running a game at a GDQ (SGDQ might be too short notice, but AGDQ '18?) is on the wishlist for sure. Also it's time to bust out the dweeb cam, I just need to figure out logistics

Work stuff: had my year-end and anniversary evaluation - didn't go well. Boss talked me up as one of the better of the <2 years hires, which is nice enough I guess, then followed up by uniformly turning down all of my probing at shift flexibility, WFH availability, etc. A raise doesn't seem likely either, and my mindset 6 months ago was to wait until year-end to see if things improved; they didn't, and it seems extremely unlikely they will in any foreseeable future, so it's time to go hard on job hunt again. Somehow despite this job pooping on me for a year now and not much else going my way, I'm feeling optimistic on the whole that 2017 will be a better year for LeonP - SGDQ is 100% happening, AGDQ will be a serious goal, I'm hype to see all my friends again, and I'm starting to genuinely get over the funk I've been in for some time now, is nice
