CLIFF:


Birthday:  6 Summer

Cliff is a stranger in Mineral Town.  He has a tragedy in his past and spends
quite a lot of time at the local Church.  He stays at the Inn, and your rival
for Cliff is Ann, the daughter of the owner of the Inn, Doug.  Cliff can be
found upstairs at the Inn every morning and every night as well.   When you
begin the game, Cliff will have no job and by the end of Summer, he will
confide that he has very little money left, and that he might be forced to
leave Mineral Town.  If you offer to let him help with the Winery Job on 15
Fall, he will be given a full-time job at the Winery.

The least valuable gift that will win Cliff's heart is a cucumber.


Cliff's schedule:


Before 14 Fall:

Every day:  Cliff will be in his room upstairs at the Inn until 9.00 a.m. when
goes to the Church, taking the farthest eastern road.  Arrives at the Church
at 9.40.  He will leave the Church at 4.00 p.m. and return to the Inn, taking
the farthest eastern road.  He will be in his room upstairs at the Inn for the
rest of the day and night.


After Cliff gets the winery job on 15 Fall, his schedule will change:

Saturday:  In upstairs room at Inn until 1.00 p.m.  At 1.00 p.m. he goes
downstairs to a table, where he will dine with Duke and Manna.  Duke and Manna
are there at 1.40 p.m.  All three leave the Inn in single file at 4.10.   They
leave at 7.10 and by 7.40, Cliff has reached the Inn, where he immediately
goes upstairs to his room.

Every other day:

Cliff will be in his room upstairs at the Inn until 10.50;  rain or shine, he
then goes to Winery cellar at 10.50
 a.m. from Inn; goes to the Vines at 1.00 p.m.; he stays outside at the
grapevine until 4.00.  (He is joined by Duke at 3.00 p.m., rain or shine)  He
goes from there to the Church where he arrives at 4.40 p.m.  He will leave the
Church at 7.00 p.m., then return to the Inn at 7.50 p.m.


Cliff's Likes and Dislikes:


Cliff's very favourite foods all require a kitchen and are made by
using 'recipies'.   There are foods, however, that he loves almost as much and
these are as follows:

Your rival for Cliff's heart is Ann, daughter of the Innkeeper, Doug.  She is
a warm-hearted girl who is a bit of a tomboy.  Cliff's first two 'rival heart
events' deal with his loneliness and his need to make friends in Mineral
Town.


Cliff's 1st heart event and rival heart event, aka 'black heart' event:


Cliff's 1st heart event:
Location: Church on Tuesday at 11.10 a.m.; I try to trigger this on Tuesday, 3
Spring of my 1st year

The first rival heart event between Cliff and Ann:
Location:  2nd floor of the Inn, between 7.20 p.m. and 9.00 pm. on Friday
night; I try to trigger this event on Friday, 6 Spring, in my 1st year  (N.B.
You have to go up to the 2nd floor.  When you enter the Inn, Ann may be on the
first floor, but that does not matter.  Go up the stairs and you will trigger
the scene.)


Cliff's 2nd heart event and rival heart event, aka 'purple heart' event:

Location: Church on Friday at 4.00 p.m. on a rainy day: I try to trigger this
on Friday, 20 Spring in the first year (N.B.  if you do not experience this
event before 15 Fall, when Cliff accepts the Winery job, you will no longer be
able to experience it at this time, but must go to the Church between 5.00 -
7.00 p.m. on any days EXCEPT Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays to experience
it)

The second rival heart event between Cliff and  Ann:
Location: Church on Sunday at 11.00 a.m.; I try to trigger this on Sunday, 8
Spring in my first year


Cliff's 3rd heart event and rival heart event, aka 'blue heart' event:


Cliff's 3rd heart event:
Location: on the road between the farm and winery on a Wednesday afternoon;
there is a glitch in the game that will allow you to experience this on
Wednesday, 14 Fall after you tell him about the winery job, although the event
presupposes that Cliff has the job; I try to trigger this at about 2.40 p.m.
on Wednesday, 14 Fall of my 1st year;  you must have the largest rucksack and
an empty item slot; you will obtain 'Mountain Necklace'
If Cliff's heart level is orange, however, you can experience his 'blue heart
event' on 14 Fall, and experience his 'orange heart event' on 15 Fall, one
hour after you leave the job at the Winery!)


The third rival heart event between Cliff and Ann:
Location: Inn on Saturday morning: I trigger this at 11.00 a.m. on first sunny
Saturday of 2nd year


Cliff's 4th heart event and rival heart event, aka 'orange heart' event:


Cliff's 4th heart event:
Location: Winery at 6.10 p.m. on Thursday evening; I try to trigger this on 15
Fall in my 1st year, one hour after Cliff accepts the winery job after working
there with you all day; the event will end at your farm at 9.00 p.m.
N.B.  It is becoming eveident that this event cannot be experienced during the
Winter season.  If you have not experienced it and it is Winter, wait until
Spring!

The fourth rival heart event between Cliff and Ann:
Location: Cellar at Winery on Sunday, any time between 10.00 a.m. and 12.50
p.m. in your fourth year (this is the little building next to the main Aja
Winery building)

Ann's Marriage Event with Cliff:
Location: Inn on rainy Saturday morning after marriage after 6.00 a.m. and
before 8.00 a.m.  (It is possible, but not certain, that this event cannot be
experienced in the Winter Season.)
