  2. 1. The name of the person you are interviewing
  3. 2. The date and location of the interview
  4. 3. Information on the way in which this person (or group) makes music in the community
  5. and the genres/styles of music that this person/group usually plays
  6. 4. A list of questions you might use in the interview (at least 10)

  8. 1. A detailed description of the date, the location of the interview and who was present.
  9. (Sometimes there are multiple people and that affects the interview).
  10. 2. A summary of what your interviewee said and an analysis of whether or not you stayed
  11. on topic with your prepared questions. Sometimes interviews take unexpected directions,
  12. so note whether or not you stuck to your initial questions. If you made some changes or
  13. threw some questions out, why? What new questions came up as you conducted the
  14. interview?
  15. 3. Also, choose one topic that came up in the interview and about which you want to add
  16. some information or you think some added information would help the reader. Perhaps
  17. you may want to include some research on a particular genre or some community history.
  18. There may be other topics that warrant further investigation and explanation. Whatever
  19. the case, choose at least one area to expand on in your summary and do some background
  20. research using credible references
