GX Vid 22 Notes

In this part, the goal was to get to a total of 185 wins. I only needed two more wins on Dimitri to get to 10 on him, so the rest of the video was taking on Fontaine. I also do the Special Summon exam.

Overall the duels weren't very good here. I get bad RNG, and for whatever reason the AI didn't attack when I wanted it to. A quick example is at 1:10, when Baby Dragon fails to attack my Mystic Tomato. If I could just get Cyber Stein, a duel like that would have been way faster. And when I finally do get Stein, a turn later, it immediately gets Ring of Destruction'd. There's little, unlucky things like that throughout the video.

Fontaine in my opinion is the weakest person to face, and you can consistently beat her fairly fast. But, she does have certain annoying cards. Stuff like Elegant Egotist is usually dead, but she got it off a couple of times. Also, Harpie Lady 3 has a dumb effect. The monster it attacks can't attack for two turns, and there is a glitch in this game, where even if that monster is sent to the grave and brought back, it still cannot attack. Super unlucky to see, and when it happens in the video, the very next turn she has Snatch Steal.

It may be better to face somebody like Sartyr instead. He's just about as weak as Fontaine, but has more annoying effects, such as Penguin Soldier.

For the Special Summon exam, it doesn't make sense to build a whole new deck. The condition to special summon is so easy, so I decide to use I deck I've already built; I choose to use Fusions because it has searchers, and many spell cards that help get special summons together.

You could use Machines, but certain kinds of hands aren't very suitable for this exam. Fusions has many searchers, and if you're lucky, can special summon pretty easily.

Something I noticed, was that when the AI tribute set a monster, it chose not to attack at all. It made things way, way slower. Plus I flat out didn't draw well... the duel went, like, 25 turns 0_0

I wish this part was about, I don't know, 10 to 15 minutes shorter. But sometimes you just got unlucky lol. The next video won't be very interesting; I'll probably be sleeping in a lot. I'm satisfied with the amount of wins I have right now, and will be waiting to get various events done.
