Born in Seattle, raised normally sans the whole "fireballs" thing, got interested in Abrahamic mythology, summoned a "demon" (Mentor Spirit) to teach him magic, got Abbadon, Abbadon bound a portion of himself to Daniel which gave all current disadvantages (tattoo is seal for the portion, other things are side effects), family wasn't too well off, bottom of the middle class, always told him to aspire to be more, after the whole "demon in the brain" thing, he took to that out of regret, but as though they meant money, so he went into the best earning job he could think of, namely shadowrunnan, now lives in nice-ish house with money made from being a Wizard inna shadows
