A letter to Alex

I hope you are doing well in addition to Kira and Null. How is everything at school? As much as I would hesitate to admit, I am missing it due to the fact that in London I am so far away. I will admit that the BSA has a wonderful selection of tools some of which I am bringing back. They gave me this messenger hawk for the time being, however I think he is new to the job. Seems quite easily distracted. I hope he manages to find you in time.

Overall things here are boring. Very dull indeed, mostly it rains here not that I get to see it or explore London. Most of the business I am attending to are meetings of various sorts if that. I can only hope things are more interesting there.

If you happen to see her, give my apologies to Madeline. I am afraid I broke my word in the promise of a dance. I am sure she must have sulked the entire night. However the letter I received was both sudden and urgent. I hope she can understand and perhaps a dinner meeting would make up for my absence. I highly doubt she will take such a thing. I feel quite dismayed at the prospects of meeting her once again. A warning to you should you ever upset a lady, there is nothing really to protect against such wrath and emotion as much as one a woman can lay out. It is quite a messy affair.

I hope Kira is well. And I hope no one has been giving you trouble. In my spare time I have been refreshing on sparring. I forgot how rusty I was. Honestly I should be functioning at a higher level than I am now. But I suppose that is what around 100 years of slumber does for you.
