  3. >Twilight
  4. "Dash
  5. ~~~~~~
  6.
  7. "Youu know, this isn't as action packed as I was expecting."
  8.
  9. >Good? Isn't that good? That sounds like a good to me.
  10.
  11. "Ahhh, you know, I miss the old days. When villains were really threatening."
  12.
  13. >Like Nightmare Moon?
  14.
  15. "Yeah, that!"
  16.
  17. >The villainess who... Cut off a sea serpants mustache?
  18.
  19. "...oh, holy crap, she actually did that didn't she? That was fucking weird."
  20.
  21. >Nightmare Moon! Defeater of Celestia, mare of eternal night... Discount barber for posh river creatures.
  22.
  23. "...pfft. Never tell Luna."
  24.
  25. >I have had to fight back the urge to ask her about that so hard.
  26.

  28.
  29. ~~~~~
  30.
  31. Slipping from that party had taken... a while. Far, far longer than he had meant to be. Farrrrr longer than he should have. The conversations, the games, they just kept pulling him back in every time he tried to make his grand escape. What should have been a minute lasted much, much too long.
  32.
  33. And it had nothing to do with how much he was enjoying himself, he swore.
  34.
  35. But at last, he had managed. He had slipped from their iron like grasp, ducked underneath their gazes, pried himself from their caring grips, and he was gone. Gone into the hallway to seek out his target, finally.
  36.
  37. While the pony who's mind he had read was not high enough on the profile to know exactly where his targets were located, he did know enough that they were in a heavily fortified, locked off place. It shouldn't be too hard to find them from there. Really, how many giant locked off locations can there be? He just needs to find a map, and then by process of elimination...
  38.
  39. "Ah hah!"
  40.
  41. There! At the end of the hall he spotted his future. A map detailing rooms and fire escapes, perfect! Now he just needed to...
  42.
  43. "...huh..."
  44.
  45. That's when he noticed everything on the map looked very plain, normal. There was no indication of any sort of guarded area, heavily or otherwise. In fact, this seemed to look mostly like an office layout. Perhaps they were left off? Hidden from the normals? It would make sense, because otherwise...
  46.
  47. "...wait a minute..."
  48.
  49. He shuffled back.
  50.
  51. And back.
  52.
  53. And back.
  54.
  55. And back.
  56.
  57. ....and baaaaacccckkkk.
  58.
  59. And he tilted his head... more... and more... and more.
  60.
  61. The wall before him was easily thirty feet tall and stretched three times as wide on either side.
  62.
  63. ...And all of it was covered in map.
  64.
  65. ".......................Uh buuhhhhh."
  66.
  67. He did not cry.
  68.
  69. He did NOT cry.
  70.
  71. He just wibbled, just a bit.
  72.
  73. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
  74.
  75.
  76. >Okay, so, according to my calculations, they should be behind this door!
  77.
  78. *SCREEEE!*
  79.
  80. "OH DEAR CELESTIA YOU LET IT OUT!"
  81.
  82. >Not that door, gotcha. My bad!
  83.
  84. *SCREEE!*
  85.
  86. "ALL IS LOST!"
  87.
  88. >I said my bad, fuck! Stop being so critical!
  89.
  90. ~~~
  91.
  92. >Okay, what aboooout-
  93.
  94. "THE BEEEEEEESSSSSSSS"
  95.
  96. >...Not this door. So.. so not this door.
  97.
  98. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
  99.
  100. >7
  101. "Guard"
  102. '???
  103. ~~~~~~
  104.
  105. This place was a maze.
  106.
  107. A horrible terrible, terrible maze of twists and turns and all sorts of things. Honestly, if he wasn't subtly marking his way back, he would be fairly certain he would have been lost trying to get out. In fact, the fact he was marking his path and thus could tell he had not looped around was sincerely worrying him. How fucking big was this place, he wondered?
  108.
  109. 'AHHHHHH!'
  110.
  111. >...Fuck that.
  112.
  113. He barely even glanced through the glass at the pony writhing on the ground after having one of those 'infusion' things sprayed on his arm. He got out of there just before the flash of white and the blaring sirens went off.
  114.
  115. Guess there were still a few bugs in that one.
  116.
  117. Heh... bugs.
  118.
  119. 'OH FUCK! HELP!'
  120.
  121. He almost did, despite himself. He almost did go help that scientist being strangled by a malfunctioning robot in front of him, but thought the better of it just in time. He was supposed to be a scientist, and one thing scientists the world over were known for was 'not being able to break a robot in half with their bare hooves'.
  122.
  123. The problem was solved soon enough when other guards rushed to his aid, thankfully stopping it before any sickening crunches could ring out.
  124.
  125. 'That's moronic!'
  126.
  127. 'I'm telling you, it'll work! I just mix these two chemicals together aaaaand...'
  128.
  129. 'DON'T YOU DARE-AHHHHHH!'
  130.
  131. Instantly, Seven covered his ears, awaiting an explosion, screams of pain, anything.
  132.
  133. '...Okay, fine, it worked. Oh hey, the alloy is stable too!'
  134.
  135. 'Yep! Can withstand heat up to twenty degrees more than normal, bonus incoming!'
  136.
  137. ...Okay, so they weren't all horror stories.
  138.
  139. But as he traversed it, he noticed a lot of things that really should not be, all things considered. Experiments that he doubted approval for would have been signed, ponies occasionally endangered as test subjects, even a few weird looking cages and kennels.
  140.
  141. And yet, none of the scientists seemed particularly afraid, as if they had been forced down here.
  142.
  143. Quite the opposite, they mingled, they laughed, they had fun, they had a whole community going on. And here he was in the middle of it all. These scientists had a fire to their work, passion, a need to create and a creation from a need. This place was dangerous, it was almost certainly far away from legal boundaries, but he saw some amazing things in here. Earth ponies casting fireballs, machines lifting hundreds of pounds, genetic codes he could not hope to understand. None of it hidden, all of it out for all to see, and join in if they feel like it.
  144.
  145. It was a scientists playground, of sorts. No regulations, no restrictions, nothing but creation.
  146.
  147. A part of him couldn't help but wonder at this. It was not a good place, not at all, but... he could not say it was a place of nightmares.
  148.
  149. ...Unless he was taking into account those tentacles that just snapped out of that cage and grabbed that mare, in which case he could see plenty of nightmares from that.
  150.
  151. Thank goodness the guards had tasers on standby to prevent any live action remakes of Japonies movies.
  152.
  153. "You lost, buddy?"
  154.
  155. He slipped into character easily enough, washed the wonder and wide eyed awestruck from his face. This was somewhere he would see everyday, obviously. If anything, he would have grown tired of it.
  156.
  157. What a pity he wouldn't actually be here long enough to truly grow tired of it.
  158.
  159. But, alas... he had a job to do.
  160.
  161. >Actually, I was wondering.
  162.
  163. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  165. >Luna
  166. "Mayor Mare"
  167. '29'
  168. [Zecora]
  169. {Trixie}
  170. ~~
  171.
  172. >So is this just what thine group does on thine offtime? Just sits around and does nothing at all?
  173.
  174. "...Yes. This is EXACTLY what we do."
  175.
  176. >Really? It seems boring. Does thou really do nothing else?
  177.
  178. 'Nay, I say to thee! We do nothing else of any sort of activity!'
  179.
  180. >...Thou art acting odd.
  181.
  182. [Oh come now, we're not acting strange. We simply do nothing here, nothing out of range.]
  183.
  184. {...Wait, but what about when we-}
  185.
  186. "PLAY MONOPONY! RIGHT! We do that too!"
  187.
  188. 'VERILY! It is a jovial game of wits!'
  189.
  190. [One we ALL enjoy to game. Except Trixie, for she is lame.]
  191.
  192. {I meant the-}
  193.
  194. "OH RIGHT! Baking! We still bake!"
  195.
  196. 'Many a sweet concoction!'
  197.
  198. [But nothing besides that! And not enough we grow fat!]
  199.
  200. {...Seriously, Trixie is pretty sure the-}
  201.
  202. "PRINCESS wants to listen to heavy metal? It doesn't seem like her forte, Trixie."
  203.
  204. 'Yes, even if it's so good it might as well be ILLEGAL.'
  205.
  206. {Oh, riiiiight.}
  207.
  208. >...We art confused.
  209.
  210. "I don't see why, we've explained everything pretty in depth."
  211.
  212. 'EVERYTHING.'
  213.
  214. >...We feel like we are missing something...
  215.
  216. [Sorry to stick around, but I must be off with a strut! I need to uh... clean out my hut.]
  217.
  218. >It looked fine to us when we went in there yesterday.
  219.
  220. "..."
  221. '...'
  222. [...]
  223. {...}
  224.
  225. >...What?
  226.
  227. [N-... nooothing...]
  228.
  229. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
  230.
  231. >7
  232. "???"
  233. ~~
  234.
  235. Where where where to look... he needed a way to find them, now. He was wasting time, spinning his wheels doing nothing, this could not stand. He needed results, now, and he needed them fast.
  236.
  237. So, he did what he always did when he needed information from an indirect source.
  238.
  239. He went for the help.
  240.
  241. "Friggen... can't fucking believe I drew the short straw again..."
  242.
  243. One thing a great many world leaders underestimate is just how much they rely on 'the help'. You'll never find a king sweeping his own floors, or a princess cleaning her own bedsheets, yet clearly it got done. Clearly, someone was washing that latrine, so obviously someone had to be let into that room. And clearly you weren't going to put away everything right then. Important documents, maybe, but with the right push everything was 'important'.
  244.
  245. "Gonna friggen have to go near crazybitch again..."
  246.
  247. For instance, the most important thing right now is, by far... food.
  248.
  249. It's so basic, is it not? Food, something everyone needs, yet clearly you don't let your hostages make it. But if they were not making it, who was?
  250.
  251. A chef. But the chef also likely has to make food for everyone else, and is important to keeping the work going. You can't get rid of them. So what's next?
  252.
  253. The help.
  254.
  255. The lowest, most expendable pony on the totem pole, yet they were inadvertently given vital information beyond compare.
  256.
  257. The location.
  258.
  259. "...Probably gonna friggen stab me again..."
  260.
  261. Normally, getting such information came at a very high cost.
  262.
  263. But sometimes...
  264.
  265. >Having a problem, Shuffle?
  266.
  267. The pony pushing the food cart, a pegasi named Shuffle Hustle, snapped from his grump, and from the looks of things he was very off to see him. Judging from the other pony's memories, there was very good reason for this.
  268.
  269. "Can't talk right now, got work."
  270.
  271. >I get that, actually. Got to feed old blue and crazy?
  272.
  273. "You know I am... is it rigged? Tell me right now, is there some kind of rigging here to where I keep having to feed Screwloose and her bug friend? I need to know."
  274.
  275. >Not rigged, you're just unlucky.
  276.
  277. "...Well, whatever, I've got to go... and face the music. If I get stabbed, I'm quitting this time, I swear to it. I don't care how many times I've said this already. One more fucking stab to the side, and I'm done."
  278.
  279. >That bad?
  280.
  281. "You don't even fucking know."
  282.
  283. >Oh? You don't want to do it?
  284.
  285. "Fucking NOBODY wants to deliver the food, you know that shit. We tried to hoist it off to the robots before she started tearing them up."
  286.
  287. >It sounds like you don't want to do it.
  288.
  289. "Fucking. Duh."
  290.
  291. >So, would you like to... pass the buck?
  292.
  293. The other pony grew still, his eyes becoming shifty.
  294.
  295. "I don't know what you mean."
  296.
  297. Slowly, Seven began to narrow the gap.
  298.
  299. >Question. What would you be willing to do if I were to deliver this to them instead? A... favor for a favor?
  300.
  301. He gulped visibly, eyes becoming even more shifty.
  302.
  303. "...L-look, bud, my wife got real mad after the last time-"
  304.
  305. >I'm not going to tell, and if you actually hide it this time she'll never know.
  306.
  307. Subtly, he began to sweat.
  308.
  309. "Would... would you really do it for that?"
  310.
  311. >Oh, I'd do it for that. Take me up on it, I will deliver it right to them no question.
  312.
  313. "S-seriously? You're not just going to dump it somewhere? They check that, bud, they'd have my hide."
  314.
  315. >Right. To. Her. But for me to do that... you have to do that thing for me. One little 'favor', and you get to leave today stab free. What do you think your wife cares more about, that, or you coming home sans scalpel marks?
  316.
  317. "...Well... well she does worry when I come home cut up... but you know how much this hurts her-"
  318.
  319. >Act natural, play the part, it'll be over before you know it and you can put it behind you. The memory will last far less time than a stab to the neck... I guarantee it.
  320.
  321. "I-I don't know..."
  322.
  323. >Come on, you were probably going to give it up anyway. Your call, 'bud'. Give me what I want, and then I will personally take that over to Screwloose. You get all the credit, none of the negatives, and all you have to do is one... little... favor...
  324.
  325. He all but closed the gap, now mere inches from the other pony's face.
  326.
  327. >Tick. Tock.
  328.
  329. He shook, he rattled, and he hummed.
  330.
  331. And then he pushed the cart into Seven's grip.
  332.
  333. "Oh, fuck, I can't believe I'm doing it again. Twinkle Toes is gonna kill me."
  334.
  335. >Pfft, please. She'll never know. And if she does? She'll forgive you, in time. Just like she did last time.
  336.
  337. "I... I guess. Still feels like I'm betraying her."
  338.
  339. >If she cares more about that then you getting stabbed or injured, who's betraying who now?
  340.
  341. "...yeah... yeah, point. Okay, so, she's in wing 3B today, doing some shit with her changeling friend, I don't know. Just don't stick around, okay? The guards don't look at me, but they'll notice if you stick around."
  342.
  343. Internally, maliciously, Seven smiled.
  344.
  345. >I'll be gone in a flash.
  346.
  347. "Good... good. U-uh, before I do this, can I ask you something?"
  348.
  349. >Sure.
  350.
  351. "....why the fuck do you and her care so much who wins at company bowling night?"
  352.
  353. >That's not for you to know, you just throw the match like you did last time so I can be victorious!
  354.
  355. "Fine, whatever... it's just weird."
  356.
  357. >You're weird.
  358.
  359. "You sure I can't do something else? Anything else, really, I'll do it, no matter how crazy. She really, really, really wants to win this time."
  360.
  361. >...Let me think about it.
  362.
  363. "Sure, fine... just get over there and get gone. Down the hall, left, two hallways, right, up the staircase, first door, elevator down a floor, and then you're there. Get in, get gone."
  364.
  365. >As I said, Shuffle...
  366.
  367. This smirk? Not quite as internal.
  368.
  369. >I'll be gone in a flash.
  370.

  379. >...This ain't right.
  380.
  381. "Aw, come on! Yer' gonna pull it now!? Yer' pullin' the plug NOW of all times!?"
  382.
  383. >Shiny says pretendin' ta' be somebody else is wrong.
  384.
  385. 'But didn't you used to do that a lot?'
  386.
  387. >Yeah!
  388.
  389. '...'
  390.
  391. >...hey, just cause Ah' used ta' do it doesn't mean it's fine. Used ta' bite ponies too, but I don't bite anybody no more!
  392.
  393. [Come oonnnn! Be a Crusader!]
  394.
  395. >I'm not, repeatin' mah'self, I'm NOT pretendin' ta' be auntieLestia and sneakin' into her room!
  396.
  397. "...Spoilsport. Ah' wanted ta' see what she's got in there!"
  398.
  399. >NOPE!
  400.
  401. [...Will you pretend to be Luna? She's not Auntie Luna, right?]
  402.
  403. >...well... she DID ferget Shiny's birthday...
  404.
  405. "It's settled, then!"
  406.
  407. >I didn't say yes!
  408.
  409. [TOO LATE!]
  410.
  411. '...Wait, how is it too late if-OW!'
  412.
  413. [Were you dropped as a foal or something!?]
  414.
  415. 'No!... Mommy says I wasn't so many times it has to be true!'
  416.
  417. "...Ignorin' that. Do it!"
  418.
  419. [Do it!]
  420.
  421. 'Do iiiiiiit!'
  422.
  423. >...Uhhhh....

  428. "12"
  429. '???'
  430. ~~~~~
  431.
  432. Beakers bubbled, machines hummed, and that little electric arcy zappy thing did it's little electric arcy zappy as it does.
  433.
  434. One day, Twelve would find the courage to ask what exactly that thing is supposed to do, but today was not that day. Today was just him handing his 'charge' this and that, piece by piece. Only questioning when he didn't know what something like a suture was.
  435.
  436. He learned a lot around these parts.
  437.
  438. >Two millimeter scalpel, pervert.
  439.
  440. He just guessed on this one, but it seemed he made the right choice.
  441.
  442. >Atta boy... interesting.
  443.
  444. "What is?"
  445.
  446. Slowly, she held up the vial before him, the one that contained the blood of a changeling that had come from... somewhere. He still hadn't managed to get from anyone where that was from, and it worried him quite a bit.
  447.
  448. >The reaction on pony skin... it's very interesting. Your species magic is... hhmm... let's say, adaptive. It has a need to survive. It has a need to thrive.
  449.
  450. "I thought you said pony biology and changeling magic were incompatible?"
  451.
  452. >They're not. Changeling magic simply was not designed to be held in the body of a pony, full stop. It was built from the ground up to be used by something with a magical metabolism completely different than our own... our in this case meaning my 'our', not you and me 'our'.
  453.
  454. "So... does this mean your plan won't work?"
  455.
  456. >Oh no, it'll work just fine... it's just the results would be a lot more... spectacular. But that's not what I meant, loverboy.
  457.
  458. "Oh... what did you mean?"
  459.
  460. >Your magic ... it's not going down without a fight. It seems when push comes to shove, it wishes to keep on going, even if the body doesn't fit just right.
  461.
  462. "What does that mean?"
  463.
  464. She never looked to him as he tried to peer over her shoulder, ignoring him completely as she held up the vial before her.
  465.
  466. Her face reflected in the glass, warped slightly from the bend. Beside her, single visible eye, almost melding with hers, was his own.
  467.
  468. >...it changes.
  469.
  470. Before he could inquire a moment further, she carefully placed the glass back into the case, and laid it down.
  471.
  472. >There's a lot more to you all then expected. More than we have found out...
  473.
  474. She turned, only looking to him out of the barest corner of her eye. But in that single eye, there was something almost... hungry.
  475.
  476. >...yet.
  477.
  478. He felt uneasy, shifting back, but not moving away.
  479.
  480. >...Most sane ponies would run, you know.
  481.
  482. "I'm not a pony."
  483.
  484. >... You don't have to be here, and she'd be happy to get rid of you.
  485.
  486. "I doubt I'd be let out of the secure fortress in one piece, actually. Especially when ponies start asking where you are."
  487.
  488. >Is that really the only reason you're still here?
  489.
  490. "It's a reason I came here in the first place sure."
  491.
  492. A wicked, maddened smile began to crease her lips, and that hunger burned beneath something else.
  493.
  494. >Keep it up, pervert, and I'll give you a full minute with them even.
  495.
  496. He blushed, moving his gaze back to the vial of blood once more, just so he didn't have to look her in the eyes.
  497.
  498. "So... how much do they know?"
  499.
  500. >...Not much, very little.
  501.
  502. "You know if they get enough, they could probably find a way to... finish us off. All of us, I mean."
  503.
  504. >Hmmm... yep. Pretty sure she wants me to make a virus for you all the minute the infusion is finished. It would be pretty easy to do too, what with how different you are from ponies. Probably wouldn't take more than a year, at most, before an airborn version found every single one of you... and poof!
  505.
  506. "...Lovely! That's lovely."
  507.
  508. >Science isn't supposed to be cute, or lovely. Science is about figuring out what to keep, and what to cut out.
  509.
  510. "Did... did you just imply my species needed to be cut out?"
  511.
  512. That maddend smile never left her face as she twisted unnaturally to face him, sliding her rear onto the table and poking him in the chest with her hind hoof.
  513.
  514. >I said, it's about finding which ones are which... and if nothing else, I'd make a vaccine for you.
  515.
  516. "...Gee, thanks."
  517.
  518. >Don't, I always make a vaccine first. It's more... fun that way.
  519.
  520. His own hole ridden hoof reached up, rubbing a bit at the one in his chest.
  521.
  522. "Would you really make sure I made it out alive?"
  523.
  524. >Obviously, pervert. I need someone to give me hoof massages while I hole the whole world hostage with my vaccine.
  525.
  526. "...Sounding like a supervillain there."
  527.
  528. >Mwahaah. Mwaahah. Ah ha. Ha Ha.
  529.
  530. He sighed, continuing on in earnest with the massage, sending her rolling her head back and her smile growing wide.
  531.
  532. "...Just... just remember they mean a lot to me, okay? They're my family, all of them."
  533.
  534. >Mmmmh. Sure.
  535.
  536. It was the best he was going to get, he knew.
  537.
  538. He would have continued and focused only on this, if not for the clang clang clang of the door being opened. Furiously, she groaned in annoyance.
  539.
  540. >Shuffle you fuck, you interrupted my massage. You know what? I hope your wife doesn't mind living with a cripple, because... you are not Shuffle.
  541.
  542. Her demeanor switched the minute she locked eyes with the intruder. Instantly, Twelve was on edge, standing up poised and ready in no time at all.
  543.
  544. "Uh... new guy? Shuffle get tired of the stitches?"
  545.
  546. 'Something like that.'
  547.
  548. The silky smooth way the words rolled off his tongue should have put them both at ease.
  549.
  550. >...Who the fuck are you?
  551.
  552. It did nothing of the sort.
  553.
  554. 'Don't you recognize me? We've spoken before.'
  555.
  556. >No, I've spoken to the pony with that face before, and he pissed himself trying to say a word. You're not him. You're not anything like him. Who... the fuck... are you?
  557.
  558. The pony smiled, actually smiled despite the fact she was now holding her scalpel in a manner that could only generously be called 'threatening'.
  559.
  560. The moment he looked at Twelve, she reacted.
  561.
  562. The metal sang as it flew through the air, only to be caught mid flight by a hoof far too skilled for a scientist.
  563.
  564. Before she could react to this, Twelve moved forwards, lashing out with a strike of his own, a clumsy punch aimed right for his head.
  565.
  566. It, too, was caught mid flight. Stopped with far more power than any one pony should hold.
  567.
  568. And then the world was green fire.
  569.
  570. >...HA HA!
  571.
  572. She let out a laugh at Twelve's dumbstruck face, finding no lack of amusement as he goggled stupidly at the fellow changeling holding his hoof in an iron grip. Grunting, the now undisguised changeling pushed him away, and returned the cloak of another pony's skin on his own.
  573.
  574. "...S-Seven!?"
  575.
  576. 'Brother. I'm here to free you and return you to the Queen.'
  577.
  578. He only goggled impossibly wider, mouth dropping open in a stunned gape.
  579.
  580. "She... she actually sent someone here to find me!?"
  581.
  582. Rather than point out that he had not, in fact, been sent at all...
  583.
  584. 'She sent more than just me, brother. We are to rendezvous with Forty Two and the A-team shortly.'
  585.
  586. "She sent the whole A-team!?"
  587.
  588. 'Yes. Thankfully, they and the Elements did not have to-'
  589.
  590. "SHE SENT THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY!?"
  591.
  592. He just kept staring, unable to process what he was hearing.
  593.
  594. His Queen.
  595.
  596. The biggest, coldest bitch he had ever known...
  597.
  598. Had sent not just an agent, but her best fighter, her best infiltrator, Canterlot's finest military team, and the heroes of Equestria... all to come save him.
  599.
  600. He didn't know how to take it, didn't know what to say, or how to say it.
  601.
  602. He couldn't process a bit of it.
  603.
  604. >My oh my, she sure goes all out when her precious information is being threatened, isn't she? Mmm... maybe we can talk when you get us out.
  605.
  606. Wryly, the agent looked to the insane pony, unbothered or afraid in the least.
  607.
  608. 'The mission is my hivemate, not-'
  609.
  610. "She's coming too."
  611.
  612. No glare, no matter how strong, made a lick of difference to the changeling who impertinently crossed his forelegs.
  613.
  614. "Either WE go, or YOU go."
  615.
  616. Message clear.
  617.
  618. He would have to relay that one to his Queen.
  619.
  620. >Awww, you just can't live without them, can you my little hooftoy?
  621.
  622. Much like he would have to relay the look on his face when she said that.
  623.
  624. '...Very well. We will-'
  625.
  626. >Well, what if I don't want to go?
  627.
  628. '...I beg your pardon?'
  629.
  630. >I have a nifty plan to go at a certain someone's throat, what if I don't want to go yet? What if you're inconveniencing me?
  631.
  632. That wry, dry look hardened.
  633.
  634. 'We're leaving, now.'
  635.
  636. >Maybe I don't wanna.
  637.
  638. 'That is not really my concern.'
  639.
  640. >You should. You messed up my hoof massage, you should apologize for that.
  641.
  642. 'I am here to rescue my brother from his capture, I do not care what you were doing. I don't even have to bring you along.'
  643.
  644. >Now, see, that's the wrong attitude. You should apologize.
  645.
  646. "Just do it."
  647.
  648. 'No.'
  649.
  650. >Are you sure?
  651.
  652. "Seven, just do it so we can go."
  653.
  654. 'We are going regardless. Considering I just sleuthed past over ninety guards, forty well armed robots, turrets on every ceiling and some kind of strange monster just to rescue you, I think that the more pressing issue is getting you to safety before-'
  655.
  656. BWEEEEEEEE~!
  657. BWEEEEEEEE~!
  658. BWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!
  659.
  660. Slowly, very slowly, two gaping mouthed changelings turned their eyes as wide as saucers to the pony sitting on the table, with her hoof on the alarm button.
  661.
  662. >...That's what you get for interrupting my massage, Mr future test subject.
  663.
  664. He heard the running.
  665.
  666. Felt the vibrations under his hooves.
  667.
  668. Could practically smell the steel of weapons coming to bare.
  669.
  670. Could even taste the blood in his mouth when he bit down out of rage.
  671.
  672. And through it all... Seven just mashed a hoof to his face.
  673.
  674. Just like that.
  675.
  676. All hell broke loose.
  677.
  678. 'Of course it wouldn't be that easy.'
