- [13:58:11] Wychwoods, Wychwoods. Why did Wychwoods sound like Witch Woods? Maybe that was the intent, since Yokai crawled about here and another title commonly associated with occult females was Witch. Hmm... Made sense, if any occultists actually hid out here. But to her knowledge, only Yokai and Ookami hung out here. Which was very lame!
- However it's not like Nef-Nef was here on a social call. No, she was looking for something in particular she heard existed out in the Wychwoods, and the only place she heard she could find it that was not the Bygonegrove which was waaay too close to the Citadel than she would like. Ebony trees!
- Ebony wood was good for magic channeling, even more for occult channeling! It would have made the perfect little weapon for a small, little girl who was an occultist. Her search lasted for hours, following her 'feelings' of occultism until finally, the small girl managed to make it all the way over to near the ocean, where a single, massive tree of black-red bark and black-green leaves stood. The coloration to this tree was almost gone, but it was clear that it was still in full bloom, still fully alive!
- Perfect!
- If only there wasn't a lot of lesser Yokai just standing around the base of the tree using it as a source of mana for them to feed and grow on. Nef could probably destroy them all, but she gave off a slight hum anyway. She didn't want to hurt Yokai unneededly, she was a worshipper of the Perfect after all... "How do I get enough of that stuff to make my staff..." The lass mumbled, not removing herself from thehiding behind other trees just yet.
- (Nefertari)
- [14:10:08] The Yokai bounds through the forests, and as Nefertari explores, she would feel something specific; something.. Booming. Stomp. stomp. stomp. The feet of the Yokai stomp against the ground, pronouncing its own presence as it moves -- before the creature would have eventually come closer to Nefertari. Oh, what a little girl.
- We all know what Shriek did to little children. . . He tortured them; made them scream, made him what they saw before bed -- the causes for checking under the bed, in the closet.. Essentially, Shriek aimed to be some sort of fear beacon for children and all of those things; for simple reasons.
- To make them fear. The Zeus yokai only continues to stare on, slowly beginning to move through the forest; it knew someone was near, but it wasn't sure where..
- (Shriek)
- [14:46:49] The young Nefertari felt and heard the stomping throughout the woods. Quickly the young girl approached the Elemental yokai. It was... astonishing. It was rare for the child to even see such a thing. A creature so powerful. A creature so cool. Unlike other children, Nefertari was raised to respect and to like Yokai like people. Though he admittedly looked weird and kind of scary, it would be rude to show such emotion.
- "Oh... You're a lightning Yokai huh? I never met one of you in person before. I am Nefertari. You don't gotta be scared or be mad or whatever. I'm an occultist who comes from a tribe who respects Yokai. What is your name Mister Yokai? MIss Yokai? I don't think Yokai are boys or girls..." The young child quickly turned to point toward the Ebony tree behind her.
- "Uhm can you help me get a branch of that?"

- [14:50:14] Imeri Ryozo: (Shirek we still need to get our first encounter done)
- [14:52:48] Shriek was a creature of power, one that rarely showed their face; but was always there. Perhaps once every year did it truly do so, otherwise; it hid within the shadows; it stalked prey, children... Of course, there was no use in eating humans; only those with occultic flesh proved to be a meal for the Yokai; others offered no growth, and were just a waste.
- But, before it could say anything; it would have stared at the girl, and she seemed to.. Well, outright declare that she meant no harm or anything of the sort -- that she had no problem with the Yokai.
- "... Are you attempting to command me?", the Yokai would ask -- perhaps the only argument it could think of to bring up! It didn't think she'd do that off the bat, of course.. "Where you come from is irrelevant to me.".
- Every word that it 'spoke' felt like some sort of poke upon the forehead; the interaction usually used to enthrall lesser Yokai and things of the sort. But it could be used to speak to humans, only, it felt somewhat painful...
- (Shriek)
- [14:57:55] Hmm... Did Nefertari attempt to command him. "Nope!" It wasn't something she had to think on. Infact, she was more interested in the Yokai since it was the first Yokai she saw this far evolved. Sure Lessers, Megas, Teras and even Gigas were something of a common-place sight in woods liek this. But Elemental and Kaor Yokai? Not so much.
- "I just want help! See there's a bunch of lesser Yokai around the tree and I don't want to disturb them. But Ebony trees give really good wood for casting. So I want to make a staff out of one of the branches. Think you can help me get one?" She batted both her eyes, staring up at the Yokai with earnest in her attempt to ask a favor.
- She wasn't commanding, but asking a favor. If he didn't help her well... Maybe she could always climb up the tree after just knocking out the baby Yokai. That's what lessers were to her. Baby animals.
- (Nefertari)
- [15:16:41] The Yokai didn't know why she asked for it outright; it did seem like a command of some sort withint he eyes of the Yokai, something that it did not, indeed, approve of. So, with that, the Yokai refused to do it; at least, for now. But, the Yokai had to think of something else to say; it was clear that the girl didn't fear him.
- "Oh, they are lesser Yokai. You just move them with force.", the Yokai declares, a simple arm raising; the lightning around it seeming to be enveloped with purple occultism for a brief moment, before blasting over to them -- and seeming to.. Cause them to move; as if the Yokai was exercising its ability to enthrall other Yokai.
- "Go get your dumb wood. Human."
- (Shriek)
- [15:33:45] Oh good! She didn't have to wake up or bother the baby Yokai? it seemed that this Yokai was a leader of these other oens, or perhaps it just simply knew how to command it's weaker fellows? Whatever was the case, Nefertari appreciated the fact he was helping her, and it was enough. The other Yokai moved out the way, and the young girl was quick to motion to the tree. With a look up and down....
- This particular ebony-wood tree was rather large. it was hard to find places that she could simply grasp onto to use to climb, but being the adventurous sort of girl that she was, little Nefertari managed to shimmy herself up the tree. Grasping onto whatever she could and making various grunting noises as she managed to finally get herself within the foilage.
- Scanning through the tree, the tanned skinned girl looked for a good sized branch that would look as if it could support her if she cut an end off. She'd try not to take anything more than needed, in the event other occultists needed some Ebony wood too. Quickly she scooted over across a pretty thick branch, getting near the end but with enough of a length that it wouldn't bend too much, a hand motioned to the bag in her pocket! A small little hand-axe was pulled at.
- With HURPs and HIEEE-YAAAs, she chopped at the end of the branch over and over until it fell down, from which she soon followed, and grasped onto the remains herself, throwing it over one shoulder. "Thank you mister Yokai. I'm gonna go find something to shape this into a real staff now!" In the event she ever ran across people like Sage again, she'd need something to make her magic stronger.
- (Nefertari)
- [15:41:26] Controlling and commanding weaker forms of Yokai was something that all Yokai were capabe of doing within their giga stage, and with that; something that Shriek had practically mastered; the lesser forms were easily controlled, even some Giga Yokai could be controlled; but anything else? Likely, possibly impossible at the time.
- Of course, it continued to ensure that the Yokai did not attack or anything of the sort as she went to collect her ebony wood, and then it would fall; the Yokai saw it as a mission complete of sorts.
- Of course, with that; the Yokai gives a very empty threat to the apparent yokai-worshipper.
- "Good. Never come back!"
- (Shriek)
