No help decryption

So I repost this whenever somebody posts either:

1. his own crypto-algorithm without the algorithm (so just a before/after)
2. Some encrypted text we must help decrypt.

First of all, given little context and even less information, the solution/algorithm could  be anything. And although cryptanalysis is a worthwhile hobby, there is too little to go on here. Besides, you could just be making this stuff up and send us on some wild goose chase. Imagine just posting garbage and see us run around, fun right?

Without the actual algorithm (in case of #1) you're making us go the hard way. We would have to spend a lot of time trying to crack your algorithm, while pointing out flaws in your algorithm from its inner workings is just as effective and a lot less time consuming. If you give me a surprise car to see what's wrong with it, I'm not going to test drive it. I would inspect it first, right? So please, show us the algorithm not the before/after.

If you want a code cracked, in case of #2, there are many resources online and offline that can help you solve this. One of them is the excellent /r/codes subreddit, which may be able to point you in the right direction.
