  1. >Lupa is going to be babysitting Lizy, their moms were going to see a movie with Uncle Lincoln.
  2. >Lucy had given Lupa a wink as she left, which made Lupa’s skin crawl, somehow.
  3. >After a dinner of pepperoni pizza and cheesy bread, Lizy immediately dove into begging Lupa to watch some old movie.
  4. >”Please. Please. Please! Please, please!” Lizy pleads as Lupa clicks through channels, looking for cartoons or something.
  5. >”Why? It’s probably old and sucky…” Lupa groans as she continues clicking through.
  6. >”It is a classic! A love letter to the contemporary horror fan and a marvel of practical effects!” Lizy proclaims.
  7. >”How do you know that?” Lupa askes quizzically.
  8. >”Youtube comments…” Lizy says matter-of-factly.
  9. >”Fine… But you have to go to bed afterwards.” Lupa says. “Like curled up on the couch, so it’s really cute for the adults.”
  10. >”Deal! Channel 638!” Lizy shouts in excitement, kicking her feet on the floor.
  11. >"The Night of the Living Bread!" Groaned the television.
  12. >"Boo!" Lupa said as she threw popcorn at the screen.
  13. >"Hey! This is a classic of the silver age of horror." Lizy says from her place sitting on the carpet. "And don't waste the popcorn."
  14. >Lupa rolls her eyes.
  15. >"Pfft... Whatever." Lupa says as she shovels some popcorn into her mouth.
  16. >The scene opens on a haunted bread factory, at least it looks haunted, oh! no, the subtitle says 1938, so that must have been before the haunting, Lupa supposes.
  17. >"Oh no! This eucharist is tainted with the sin of the whorish Deborah who works here." An actress says dramatically, pointing at a dark-haired extra, who looks like Lupa's mother?
  18. >"Well! Turn that dough into bread, I need more money!" Says the wealthy business owner, literally caring a sack of money.
  19. >Then the movie jumps to the modern day.
  20. >A group of teenagers, played by twenty-something actors, sneak into the bread factory.
  21. >But then that water phone hits and the shivers start running up and down her spine.
  22. >The zombie bread launches itself from the conveyer belt oven at the love interest and Lupa shuts her eyes.
  23. >"Shush!" Lizy says. "It's just fishing line. See? Right there!"
  24. >"Y-yeah. Whatever."Lupa says as she settled back down into the couch.
  25. >"Oh no! We need to get Deborah to bed! She is bleeding!" Said the obvious lover interest.
  26. >The bed is obviously a box with a couple sheets thrown over it and the boom mic picks up the actress griping about it.
  27. >Then the love interest rose from the bed with a possessed look, which was literally just foundation and extra eye liner.
  28. >Lupa went to cover her eyes, but the wasn't fast enough as the woman attacked her friend. Fake blood was everywhere.
  29. >"Omigodomigodfuck!"
  30. >"Language. It's fake blood; corn syrup and red food dye."
  31. >"Uh, yeah..." Lupa laughs, bit said she fell.
  32. >There's a close up of the main girl spitting out fake blood and fake flesh out of her mouth.
  33. >"I'm done. I'm done watching." Lupa says as she stands up and heads for the kitchen.
  34. >"Lupa, no. Come on..." Lizy pouts.
  35. >Lupa turns around and looks to her young cousin pleading. "Well, I guess- Oh fuck!" Lupa shouted as the lead shot a hole clear through the zombified woman's head.
  36. >"Language!" Lizy said as her cousin fell back off her feet, passed out. "I'm not sleeping after this, you didn't follow through with the deal!"
  37. >"Fine!" Lupa yells from her bedroom.
  38. >Lizy falls asleep on the couch anyways, found by her mother, aunt, and uncle, who think she can be left for another hour or so, as they sneak off to Lucy's bedroom.
