Kid Anon and Fluttermom Part 42

>in the next few moments, Rainbow dash came out from her mouth with a large checkered patterned bag of some sort. Following her was...A tortoise? With a propeller? Oh right, Fluttershy had gone over everyone's pets before once. That must be Tank....Wow...he really does have a propellor thing.
>Rainbow Dash rolled out the bag as soon as she landed. It turned out to be a picnic cloth. Holding many good food and treats inside...All apple related...dat sponsorship
>Apple fritters, apple salads, apple turnovers, apple pies, apple cinnamon rolls, apple crisps, apple...apples. All of these laid before you,RD,Tank, and Fluttershy
>"Don't worry about holding back, I got plenty more back inside" Rainbow Dash said, then she leaned forward and immediately began to feast on a pie close to her.
>Tank began feasting on the salad, as Fluttershy helped herself to some plain old apples.
>You bring the apple cinnamon cake close to you, you really did love sweets and this looked to be the best.But, there was no dinnerware. No spoons, no forks. Then again, Fluttershy had gotten them in sets specifically for you back at the cottage. So it's should have been no surprise for RD not to have any since you weren't hers.
>Well, when in Equestria, do what the Equestrians do.
>You rip off a piece of the cake and scoff it down. Oh man, that was good stuff!
>Fluttershy looked at your barbaric display and frowned "Anon, don't eat too fast now...or you'll get a tummy ache."
>Rainbow Dash waved her hoof dismissively "bah, come on Fluttershy. This isn't a fancy dinner. Let him eat the way he wants too." she says as she takes a viciously huge chunk of pie into her mouth.
>Fluttershy sighed "Fine...but.." she looks at you "If you continue eating that way, you'll regret it...you too Rainbow Dash."
>rainbow Dash ignored her and continued her chow down.

>You however, did start to take heed and eat slower. not too slow, but a good pace. And as you did. It did give you a chance to appreciate the delicious flavor.
>As you eat more of the cake. Your mind starts to wander back to the fight. What could you have done to win? or do better? or perhaps your lack of any kind of experience couldn't contend with Rainbow Dash's athletic skill. And even then. If the time came for you to truly fight? would you beable to win? would you beable to defend those closest to you? Losing to Rainbow Dash opened your eyes to how incapable you really were.You started thinking deeply with every thought.
>"Anon? are you alright? You didn't get a tummy ache did you?" Fluttershy looked at you, you must have zoned out.
>you shake your head, and put down the cake "n-no, just not hungry for cake anymore I guess. Too sweet...I guess I'll just have an apple.ehe" You take an apple and take a bite to show her you're ok. She smiles, content, and continues eating.
>it continues like this until you're all done eating. After which, Rainbow Dash resumes her training with Fluttershy at her side.
>You're left on the picnic tarp. the tortoise slowly looking at you. he seemed curious.
>You smile at him "Whatcha looking at little guy? you must be Tank. I'm Anon."you point to yourself "Wanna be friends?"
>Living with Fluttershy, you did seem to grow some sort of innate talent to speak with the animals...or maybe they just understood english...or maybe Angel was the only one to really understand you. In either case, in instances, animals did seem to understand your words, and you have been able to converse with Angel, although, still having trouble of what he tries to convey at times.
>Tank turned to you...slowly...then raised is right foreleg...slowly....then slowly...went back to eating...phenomenal.

>The training went on until the evening. you were laying on the grass at this point. Tank had decided to take the opportunity to float up and land on your belly to rest.
>You just stared at Rainbow Dash's amazing acrobatics. a literal rainbow being left as a trail behind her speediest movements. She seemed really determined to win that race.
>As you continued to watch. Your mind started to drift again. It seemed being sheltered most of the time really wasn't too good on your own athletic ability. And perhaps, maybe you were a tad too reliant on Fluttershy afterall. You started thinking on your past experiences in Equestria.
>Maybe you could have broken that barrier if you were stronger? Or maybe your meetings with Twilight would have gone better if you weren't as childish. Maybe you could journey on your own to visit other places in Ponyville, maybe get a snack with your seven bits at the sugarcube corner, or visit Pinkie or even see Spike. Heck, getting your bearings. You could probably get to the CMC treehouse on your own.
>Then you thought about Fluttershy, she was your mother. You couldn't remember any other. And any memory that flickered was merely a ghost in the wind. Sometimes you wished you could remember more, but if you did. If you remembered your real mother..would you still consider Fluttershy your mother? It was hard to process.
>Suddenly, in a single blink. Rainbow Dash was above you. "Well, look at that. Tank likes you"
>you snap back to reality and take a look at Tank, who seemed to be sleeping. then Look up at Rainbow Dash "Well that's because I'm super cool right?"
>Rainbow dash smirked "I guess you're kinda cool Anon, but you gotta get on my level to be THAT cool. Speaking of which, you ready?"
>You humorously roll your eyes at her at first, then ask "for what? We're not going another round are we?"
>Rainbow Dash shook her head "Nah. I mean are you ready...for the SONIC...RAINBOOM"

>Oh snap, this was it. You carefully take Tank off your belly and place him beside you as you stand up.
>"Yeah! I've been ready all day! Kind of had nothing else to do you know!" despite your slight impatience, you had high hopes for this.
>"Oh trust me Anon, this is gonna be soooooooooo worth it!" Rainbow Dash made an almost evil grin. "So, you ready?"
>You nod as Fluttershy gently flies towards you and lands next to you.
>Rainbow Dash says nothing as she blasts off into the sky, and starts to flies straight up.
>"Mom, is it really amazing as she makes it out to be?" you ask
>Fluttershy nods as she looks up into the sky "It truly is, you can say..if I hadn't have saw it for the first time. I may not be where I am today."
>"woah..really?..you never told me that" you were amazed, could it really be that great?
>Fluttershy giggled "Well you never asked Anon, now come on. Let's enjoy this together"
>you both stared into the sky, waiting.
>Finally, you can hear a zooming noise in the sky as Rainbow Dash dove straight down from a good distance. Why was she so far away?
>Before you could ask or even try to answer the question yourself. She nearly hits the ground and turns horizontally...and the moment she does...
>both you and Fluttershy are greeted with a circular burst of rainbow that spreads like a droplet turning into a circular tsunami. The clouds bend to it's will and the sky even lights up to it..
>"....." you were speechless. Rarity's jacket was one thing. But this...The wave spread far enough to touch both you and Fluttershy and then pass you. You had to put your hands forward due to the harsh winds that came with it as it neared.
>Even Tank was almost blown away by it.
>finally, the earth and air rests around you. It's over as quickly as it began.
>"...that.....that....was....A..AMAZING!..HOLY GEEZ!" You were astounded "MOM..D-DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!" You look to her, bewildered and amazed.

>Fluttershy giggled as you just shouted how amazing it was. But you couldn't contain yourself. Something about it, just washed everything away. You had never seen that kind of spect....no..you didn't know that kind of thing was possible. The winds, the color, the wave...it was...woah.
>Rainbow Dash appeared from nowhere, still moving super quick and zipped back up into the air until she slew down, and then gently landed. "haha, Well Anon. Looks like you saw something amazing, care to share with the rest of the class?" Rainbow Dash was loving your reaction. It filled her ego nicely.
>"I..I dunno how to put it but. WOWRAINBOWDASHTHATWASSOCOOLYOURTHECOOLESTPONYEV....ahrm....it was pretty..ahrm" you almost said she was the coolest...she could never actually be cooler than Fluttershy....to you at least...even if you did falter on those thoughts for a moment "You are pretty darn cool."
>Rainbow Dash simply loved it, she could guess what you were originally going to say. "You shouldn't be modest Anon, you know that was the most wicked, coolest, most amazing, nothing else can compare, most radical, MOST AWESOME STUNT YOU EVER SAW!"
>"ahaehe..Yu...yeah it really was...man" You couldn't hold it in for too long "man! Rainbow dash! That really was the coolest thing I ever saw! and...uh...oh...wait..U..UHH..Aunt Dash..I meant Aunt Dash...sorry..hehe."
>Rainbow Dash laughed "Don't sweat it, It's hard not to say my name after witnessing that amount of awesome in such little time. Yup, you're a good nephew if you really can appreciate how amazing I am, hahaha" Oh yeah, she was truly TRULY loving it.
>after that show, it was time to bid goodbyes. it was getting late. And dinner was still to come back at the cottage.
>you bid your farewells to Rainbow Dash and Tank, who retired back to their home. But not before Rainbow Dash had given you one last reminder not to say what had happened earlier today.

>Fluttershy thought it'd be nice to walk home through the town back to the cottage. To see how well the tour worked out.
>It seems not too well, you could remmeber some spots. But not all. But of course, Fluttershy took it as a happy improvement and kissed you on your forehead as usual. At least you tried.
>Dinner went as usual, you tried to keep away from your thoughts of earlier for now. Best to think about it on your own private time. But you couldn't wait to do this again tomorrow. Maybe you'd even get a chance to face off against Rainbow Dash. If you can just lay down at least one hit. just..one.
>But for now, night fell. You got into your robes and went to bed. And as Fluttershy kissed your forehead and bid you a goodnight. You opened your borrowed Daring Do book and continued where you left off. As Angel joined you on your lap, You guessed he was being affectionate for once, and patted him on his head.
>Tomorrow would be another day, another chance, another way to get better, another day with your favorite mother.
