IC Motivation: Is to understand the Magic of the realm and what could be beyond. While following the faint Whispers of his Star, guiding him to better serve the World Tree Yggdrasil
Wipe Plan: To serve Yggdrasil to the point of being grated a boon to hold a control/partnership with another being created by Yggdrasil

Backstory:

 Mikkel had just left his homelands to venture out through the realms to better his understanding of magic. While his Star had guided him thus far. He knew he was suppose to serve the world tree, but the question of how had never been answered anytime he had asked the pale light in the sky.

 It seemed that was just one of the questions it refused to answer. Though it did continue to push him to learn magic in all it forms. And that he had been doing. Though his talent so far in magic he practiced, was competent at best. It was never anything more then that. He was as able to do Evocation as he was Enchantment,  or Illusions, or even Rune magic. But he wasn't good at any of it, just of a normal caliber.

Maybe his quest was to find what kind of magic he excelled at , though for now he found himself in this little village run by a clan of people. He wasn't sure who they were but he only hoped his stay here wasn't to much of a burden on them.
