Dax says, "Strange to see you alone"

It doesn't seem as if Basil is in a good shape at all..

Sat down on the ground with his back against the stone wall, and his arms resting over raised knees, there's a rather pensive expression over his face.. and evident sign of reddened eyes- as if one could connect it to weeping.

"What do you want.."

He sit on the steps and look to Basil.

"We don't know one another. Hell you probably kill me after what I got to say. But I rather say it to you than what others wouldn't say. Im just that type of person." He say looking at the crying man.

"You are not in the wrong for wanting to defend your brother. As I remember you said he was. A person you grow with. A person you overcome obstacles with. A person who had your back through hardships. Then someone was prepared to kill him for his opinion. Instead of knocking him out decided to try and kill him."

He would flicker his fingers.

"Then you have the woman you love. Begging you to not do anything. Guessing those people were at your side that stopped you were your other family. The people that you believe would defend you through hell and back. You probably expected them to fight with you and get your brother back by force. This was your vision correct?"

He shake his head.

"I want you to imagine this scene. What would happen if you manage to did get your brother. Imagine having to fight all those people who were ready for you to do it. Your tired out and countless people are coming more and more. Could you imagine her position if you would fail in battle. Or could she see yours? Both you saw two different visions and that is why what occurred came to be. You are angry because you felt she didn't step up with you. Im not sure what your brother position was in Osorna but you seen what this war resulted to. I will tell you now. Your people are strong. But if you would die trying to save your brother or one of them were captured. Your village would be marked. Your one the intimidating figures. So of course people fear you. But if you removed."

He look at him.

"Im guessing you get what im saying."

It's not that he wanted it to happen.

To fall in battle, to lose himself in the aspect of bloodshed that could inevitably bring him down. It's something that others didn't fully understand - or at least, that's how he perceived it; after all, if they had only stood by his side, then perhaps he could do a lot more..

Perhaps, he could bring about destruction that others could not tell of.

"I wasn't going to die.."

It's a silent remark, but.. his face is only buried closer to his knees; for even now, it felt as if he tried to not let anyone else see his face. These were markings of tears.. and for someone like him, to be lost in here, weeping and crying, even if so silently?

He cannot allow that.
He had to be strong.

"I get it that she doesn't want me to fall.." And it's not like he wanted to either. It's not like he cannot understand her feelings on the matter. Instead..

"..But I can't just leave my brother to die like that either." A careful mutter.. almost inaudible, with how quiet he speaks.

"I can't just leave him behind like that.."

"What kind of brother I would be, to let him die - to watch that happen to him, and do nothing?" Family is everything to him. And even now, he isn't sure why she chose not to stand with him.

"Why didn't she just stand by my side.."

"Or even stay away.."

He would sigh.

"I give you Rhoynish that. You got fucking backbone. I wish my people were like that when Vaartual was killed. We think this war has made it even or going to. But honestly it has broken many people from Theria. So many people linger to Myllenois. Because they feel they have no leadership in Theria. Me for example I live in Osorna but I simply live there. I just seek to gain and see where it takes me."

Though.

"You maybe wouldn't died but others would been either hurt or did something pointless. Your brother is alive correct? Osorna wouldn't risk allowing him to die. Don't you see that. Don't you see that if he would died they would have had every single village at their door. And they never be able to explore any area."

He look to him.

"She saw that but I don't think you did. She saw that you were doing something when it wasn't needed. You honestly think any the otherswould let that man die there. Everyone in Osorna would been wiped out." He then take some rags of sort out.

"Stop crying and wipe your face." Handing them to the man as he look to the sky.

"I think you know what you need to do. She is mad but she loves you. Base on how close you two are this expected from a relationship. So I think you both need to just talk and see each others point of view without a audience. I will be in Osorna and if you like I will keep tabs on your brother is that fine with you?"

The backbone was everything to them.

And they couldn't allow themselves to falter; they could not allow submission in a manner that would showcase their weakness.. one that could promise about the spelling of doom and the end of all - for as far as he's concerned, they have certain values to uphold, certain way of doing things..

To simply roll over and let someone do such a thing?
It cannot be happening.

"...I was angry."

Couldn't he tell that much? That Basil was enraged by the fact that his brother was about to be killed by someone who had no position of killing him in such manner; of all things, he expected it to be something that could result in the jail time, at most, but..

"It's.."

"Difficult not to lunge at someone who was about to kill your brother.. someone you shared your childhood with. Someone you knew your entire life.. someone who did all those things for you."

"I can't.."

"I can't just stand aside."

Yet, when such piece of cloth is given for him to wipe his tears away, he does so silently; perhaps, if only because of the fact that he didn't truly wish to remain this way. It's better if he doesn't, right..?

But.. when he speaks of talking to her like that, his lips curl. Such thought is considered.

He loved her. She was the love of his life, and they shared so much. She was his wife, and they even had a child.. how could he actually abandon everything behind?

"You're right.."

"I should go speak to her.." At least, once it all settles down. But for now.

"Yeah.. if you could make sure that he'll be okay, that'd be great."

"Thank you.."

You have recovered from fighting Sethon

Dax would sigh and flip his blade.

"My name is Dax. Your brother will be fine. He is a stubborn bastard like you. So chances of him dying are slim." It was almost as if he wasn't trying to be impressed with how he wished to be Rhoynish sometimes.

"Let her cool down. Take her to the side. Give her time but don't let it slip either. Then speak to her alone. Hold her and tell her things you wouldn't tell anyone else. If you want to know whats important look her in the eyes and you will see. She is your star and you are her fire. So don't let this get to you."

He would prepare to head out.

"But yah got this big guy." A positive thumbs up given.

"Also don't be out here alone to long that bandit guy lurks to much."

It is something that he would need to wait upon.

To let her cool down and find place in her heart for conversation like this; after all, he imagines that approaching her right now wouldn't do him any good. Besides..

He's terribly, terribly tired as well.

"Basil.." He speaks his name, although something is telling him that most have already heard of it - or even know that to begin with. But..

"Yeah.. I'll do that. I'll.. speak to her after a while." To say that he has easily calmed would be wrong. He was still somewhat shaken by the experience - and it's not surprising, because the entirety of his life has been rocked in a way unimaginable.

"Thanks, Dax. You're.. a good man."

As for the bandit threat, however? He merely shakes his head a little bit.

"I already fought him.. already defeated him. I'll be fine, don't worry." It seems that Basilalready knew of that, but.. he comes to a steady rise, if only to turn somewhere else.

"I'll go rest for now. This day has been.. pretty stressful."
