Your character, whomsoever, wheresoever and howsoever they may be, is suffering from an affliction. The details, of said affliction are to be found in a separate paste, which you are advised to check: (Keep in mind, that you have to fulfill the condition of the Arcana to be able to wield it. This condition, is what affliction refers to above.)

At this critical point, an organization called simply Athena, has sent your character, a letter. Within it, is only enclosed an address, a quote, as well as on the back, illustrated a Tarot card, belonging to the Major Arcana.

You have of course, been given a generous offer. Freedom from what most plagues you, in exchange for service, as an investigator, primarily, although tasks of other natures may or may not rise.

Your character has taken this offer. Or perhaps they have not accepted supernatural help, but Athena does not take no for an answer. So with a deal, or an Arcana, or without it, working for Athena seems to be your character's job for now.

The nature of the deal, made in the letter is to be discussed between player and gm.

Either way...having accepted this calling, your character is transported to London, where they will meet the other applicants. An interview is scheduled for all of you.
