- from /hhg/ Helluva Hotel general #728
- --------------------------------------
- When Hitler makes his inevitable appearance on the show, do you want him to be cliche genocidal Hitler or "rtired and just wants to paint" Hitler
- -
- If he does appear in the show (Viv did mention that some of history's most notorious figures have already been purged), he'd most likely be the latter...
- ...Before ultimately being accidentally encouraged by Charlie to "turn a new leaf", and resuming his political career in Hell (now acting as something of Republican stereotype, because heavy-handed metaphors), and then ultimately put down by the nobility for making too much racket and being seen as something of a troublemaker.
- Throw in a couple of references from Lucifer about how Lenin and Patton was put down the same way, and you got an episode.
- -
- Please no.
- ---
- Did Patton do anything bad enough to get him damned and I forgot? Its been a while since I did my book report on him but what I mainly remember was that he was nuttier than all get out, but in a Dan Aykroyd kind of way, not a "herd everyone in the village into the church, bar the door, and set fire to it" kind of way. Didn't he pray daily too?
- -
- Not as far as I know. I just mentioned him because I could picture him trying to raise an army to fight against the forces of Hell, and I needed someone as a parallel to Lenin.
- -
- Patton was pretty barbaric and wasn't very Christian and believed he was reincarnated from generals of the past. Than again thoughts =/= actions. He probably would be in heaven.
- -
- Since Hell is "Overpopulated" I'd imagine most military men would end up down there purely because they killed.

- He believed in a lot of stuff. He had his own hodgepodge religion. He was praying to God and believing he was a reincarnation of ancient roman generals at the same time. Dude was nuts.

- Meanwhile Desmond Doss is up there absolutely furious.
- >"WHAT WAS THE POINT OF SAVING ALL THOSE LIVES WITHOUT EVER HANDLING A WEAPON IF YOU WERE GOING TO SEND THEM DOWN TO HELL ANYWAY?!?!"
- >Goes and cries to Zadkiel and Raphael
- -
- Yeah, it turns out only medics and the like, who never carried a weapon anyone made it in to Heaven, even medics who killed to protect the wounded don't make it in.
- >Desmond Doss and William Coltman betting on when the next vet will get into Heaven.
