  3. (14:08:14) Caesius moseyed into the suite room with a thoughtful expression on his face. It'd been awhile since him and Perse had a chance to catch much of each other's time nowadays. Mostly the Chupraki spent most of his days training in the arena barracks or finding out end jobs to fill his time. He was growing bored from this...a stifled feeling of merely existing that left a foul taste in his mouth. That is when he ran into an attractive toned specimen hanging around the barracks. The colors of his markings were intriguing but moreso was the fact that he shared the same species. Usually he did well to give a huge space to his own kind...he detested his family line. Their sullied blood. Nothing but abominations. But this berserker specimen had a silken tongue that proved hard for Caesius to resist. He came from much of the same ilk...and mindset. That in which had grown a common interest though some small talk. The man sought information on the arena gladiators and of what prowess he himself offered to the sands. This struck a cord of challenge within him. His ego was huge and he was drawn to answer the call. Now standing before the ocelot who owned him. "There is a man called Mwenye on the island...seeking insights to the arena and exotic animal hearts. Most specifically the heart. I think it could be a lucrative exchange." He was already polishing up his bracers and collecting some weapons from the corner of the room. Excitement building in him. "Plus its been awhile since we went out together anywhere. I miss that." He had to admit. Mostly he thought she wanted the space and so he had decided to not smother her as everytime he tried to get close she pushed him away. It had hurt but he shut off what he could of those emotions and replaced it with blood lust instead. -e-

  5. (14:27:03) Persephone had been busy tending to things she didn't quite want to get Caesius involved in; always mindful to keep track of his activities. Little did he know that her pushing him away was a means to keep him safe. It was the first time in a while they had down time together to simple sit and enjoy the other's presence. Glancing up from her book as he began to speak, the tip of her tail twitching idly. "A hunt? That could be fun." She would move to stand and began to undress, and change into something more suitable for hunting. "I have the perfect place to hunt...but it is not on the island. If you trust me, we will bring back a relatively unique heart." She hummed as fingers moved to gather her hair enough to pull it into a high ponytail. She would turn to face him with a warm smile. "It would be a nice break from work to spend time with you. I have missed you as well Caesius. I am sorry for my neglect."
  6.
  7. (14:54:45) Caesius actually averted his eyes when she stood and began to change. Usually he was very much involved in his open gawking of her naked form. It was hard to resist the urge to want to touch over her exposed body. The uncomfortable twinge to his groin. She'd basically kept him cuckholded since his ownership and he hadn't been sexually sated in months. Only toyed with the idea of a prize she owed to him and never gave up. He grunted casting his fiery gaze towards the corner to not further torment himself. "Of course I trust you it's the only reason I'm still here and not back in the pens." Though he had contemplated the idea. The lose of freedoms though he knew he didn't want. When she offered to apologize for her neglect towards him. There was a lengthy pause there as he met her gaze. The hurt behind his eyes but he didn't say anything just left the awkward lingering of silence. The hunt would hopefully offer a way to break the tension between them because bring them closer together. "How do we get there?" Finally asked after the lapse of time, when she was dressed and ready. -e-
  8.
  9. (15:02:40) Persephone would stare at him for a time after her apology, moving to lightly pat his chest. Leaning in just a enough to press her forehead in the same spot. "You will always be my favorite and most valued friend, Caesius. I have my reasons for pushing you away at times." She stated quietly before turning away and moving toward the fireplace. The flames instantly springing to life and taking on a sickly green hue. The fireplace warped until it was a door, the reaper gathering her hunting bow and sword. "Follow me. Stay close, I do not often times bring people to my hunting grounds." Not living ones anyway. "The creatures there are challenging." She mused quietly.
  10.
  11. (15:21:09) Caesius found it hard not to soften to her touch. As she pressed her hand to him and brought her head close. Her words still stung because the way her logic seemed to be caused him to feel weak. Like he was not able to be there for her like he truly wished to. His fist balled up slowly. "You are more then just a friend to me...I only wished that I could be more for you...but you refuse to let me." His muzzle crinkling to a light grimace. The fireplace shifted and he stared at it in amazement. He'd seen her do some truly unusual things but he'd never witnessed this before. Stepping into different dimensions. But maybe she was finally giving him the chance to prove himself. That he was not something she had to worry would so easily keel over. He breathed in to steel his nerves and walked through the plane to the other side. His double sided glaive at the ready.
  12.
  13. (15:41:48) Persephone would reach up to gently touch the side of his face before she lead the way. The reaper's wings slowly but surely freeing themselves from their binding as they stepped through to her realm. It was breathtaking in so far the the landscape seemed to mirror the jungle of the establishment. "Stay close Caesius. I do not want to lose you in this place." She turned to look at him with a warm smile. "Please understand that what I do...I do to keep you safe." She continued walking down the winding path until they came to a rather lush forest. The canopy stretching as far as the eye could see. "My life and reasons for being is complicated.." she trailed off as she moved into the forest, readying her bow. "Is there are particular size of beast you wish to hunt, Caesius?"
  14.
  15. (15:55:57) Caesius was still frowny but that was fairly typical for the brooding berserker. As they came out on the other side and the imagery of the jungle was greeting him...he seemed slightly disappointed. He was maybe expecting something more akeen to a foggy and creepy nightmare realm since she was a reaper but this all seemed far too mundane and familiar. Though Perse herself seemed full of warnings and caution. "Are we just in the jungle? I've been here plenty of times." Shrugging off much of her over worrying, flagging her off with a flick of his wrist. Then a little deflated. "Thats not what I meant...I meant well..." He sighed and breathed out heavily that she still didn't seem to understand. "...I mean our social bonding. You know...the relationship things we spoke about? I keep trying but you say you want it and want to know about such things but then I go to get close to you that way and you instead seem to flee towards others instead. That." He grumbled giving a shrug when she asked what they should hunt. Did they have such a choice? Normally it would be whatever they stumbled across. "Hmm..I dunno something big and awesome I guess. Looking to impress that baboon dude and everything." -e-
  16.
  17. (16:14:04) Persephone would squint up at him for a moment before chuckling, "I see. You are not being satisfied as male should be..." she gently pinched his cheek before she hurried on. "We are not in the jungle." She answered at his question; wings spreading as the ethereal feathers began to glow faintly. The trees groaning as they writhed to life - a distant screech sounding in the distance; it was chased by the sound of something rushing toward them. "Prepare yourself Caesius. He is untamed. His bite is poisonous...but worthy of you to hunt." She stated as the landscape seemed to warp around them; the jungle and vast forest melting away in ichor and blood to reshape into a more glassland area - flat and with various sized rocks for cover and concealment. The beast wouldn't seem phased by and would rush toward Caesius.

  20.
  21. (16:49:19) Caesius stopped in his tracks when she pinched his cheek and said those words. An embarrassed lump forming in his throat as she then seemed to scamper into the foliage. "Yes well...I mean... Wait! How do you even know about that?...What do you know of that?" Once again that jealousy of his springing up, hard to contain. Just because he'd pushed the feelings down didn't mean they still didn't exist. She was abit far from his reach now and his attention shifted towards the strange shift in the environment. A feathery blue and purple beast sprung out from the shifting aether. It was stunningly beautiful like the sunset and with the warning call from Perse about poison. It seemed on cue that the world changed to a flat plains, lush grass all around and huge crags of stone jutting from the ground. Rolling behind one just in time as the crosive spit was flung towards him. His glaive performing a wide arch as it cut along the shoulder of the beast as it leapt at him. Slicing it the creature jumped back to collect itself. Well this was certainly riveting now. His blood pumping with adrenaline and a dark smirk on his face. "What the hell is that?" Not to mention the other spiraling questions. Of where the heck they were and the shifting of the effortless shift of surroundings was quite shocking. -e-

  25. (17:20:33) Persephone would watch with mild amusement as the beast came flying out of the jungle and unphased by her sudden change in landscape. She would move to position herself on a higher outcropping of stone, readying her bow and arrow as the creature rushed toward Caesius. Her ear would twitch as the Berserker was able to dodge the initial onslaught of poisonous spittle. The damage received to its shoulder was regarded. It wouldn't waist much time in retaliating as he seemed intent on questioning the reaper. A clawed forepaw sweeping out to slash at his leg. The reaper would take this opportunity to fire an arrow toward the creature's uninjured shoulder. "No questions, focus Caesius."

  30. (19:43:35) Caesius shot Perse a 'I'm not done talking about this ' look as the strange creature jumped towards him again. It must have thought he was fully distracted when he gave that look but he saw the blur of blue feathers and heard them rustling as the creature launched itself. A wing was brought up to block catching some claws and the thick membrane would give and tear once again. They were typically in a tattered state due to the fact he used them as giant barriers and each time only added to the rips. Though the membrane was incredibly defiant to exist and would mend itself back together in a few weeks time with minimum scarring. The wing was shrugged away, forcing the creature to reel back from the severe crack of leather it gave off. With the opening created the berserker stabbed the glaive forward like a spear hacking the side of the body. "Tch...I got this. It's nothing." The cocky bastard was loving being able to show off!

  34. (19:53:53) Persephone would shake her head gently as she observed, watching as her arrow missed. The creature seemed hyper focused on Caesius as he was the largest thing present. It would be forced back with a soft snarl, tail writhing wildly behind it. Lunging forward as the Chupakri sought to stab at it's side - taking the opportunity to clamp down on his arm with a violent shake with every intent to tear what it could of flesh and muscle with a small dose of poison. The reaper would rush forward with arrow drawn once more - releasing it in hopes of striking the creature with enough force to distract it from the Chupakri. His cocky nature seemed to be getting the best of him.

  39. (20:04:34) Caesius went to stab and got a nice strike in but the beast seemed undeterred. It's neck oddly long and flexible, craning to snap jowls down on his arm. There was a hissing breath from pain released between clenched muzzle. Blood oozing from the puncture wounds. For now the poison didn't have an immediate effect. The adrenaline of his berserker geno fueling him onwards as pain was translated to rage. Endorphines flooding into his brain. Eyes slitting and a thunderous rumble roiling deep from his throat. The weapon handed off to his free hand and the sharp pointy hooked in was thrust into the creature's eye. Gouging it completely out. The 'blinding' pain was enough to have the thing toss it's head back and open his jaws. The Chupraki jumping back. Holding his arm and a woozy smile came over his face. He was feeling good now...but that was probably not going to last long with that maligant saliva coursing through his veins.

  43. (20:12:14) Persephone would frown as Caesius took quite the damage, but it was fortunate her missed arrow was enough to distract the beast for it to turn on Persephone as she was running forward. It wasted little time in barreling her over while sinking teeth into the flesh of her shoulder. Claws finding purchase upon an arm to drag down. The reaper using the close quarters to her advantage as sword was pulled out in an effort to drive it into the beast's side.

  48. (20:22:07) Caesius was free from it's grip thankfully but unfortunately for Perse which it had set it's sights on next. His face wrinkling up with concern as the reaper was plowed into by the beast, swept away into it's teeth. A roar bubbled from his throat. No one got to hurt his Perse and get away with it! He ran after the animal and using his huge tattered wings hoisted himself into a high jump and used his weight as he fell downward. His glaive aimmed at the back of it's neck as he landed on it's back. He left behind a huge gash which split open and gushed blood. Though it wasn't enough to chop the head clean off. Should have been enough to hopefully allow time for Perse to get free though. His insides were starting to feel like it was boiling...and it wasn't because of his anger like in most cases. He let out a cough and a bit of blood was at the corner of his lip.

  52. (21:01:52) Persephone couldn't help but cry out in pain and shock, her initial strike to the side was ineffective. Caesius' assistance and distraction was enough for her to adjust her grip upon her sword and drive it between a ribcage. The creature thrashing for not but a moment before it fell over lifeless. The reaper was slow to sit up, the terrain around them shifting back to what it previously was with the doorway back to her suite visible. "That was harder than expected. The antidote is in the room..." she mumbled, though she didn't do much to move just yet - doing her best to catch her breath.
  53.
  54. (21:23:30) Caesius staggered once the killing blow was struck by Perse to the thing's sides. "Phew that thing is tanky. What the hell was it?" Breathing heavily. He was happy to hear she had the antidote atleast. That was good news! He realized she seemed a good bit beat up. Dragging the horse height creature by the foot over to Perse in order to help her up. He'd toss her over his shoulder if she didn't flail or resist and carry both of them back towards the portal. Stepping back through as his orafices began leaking ruby fluid. Using his last energy to frantically search the drawers to reverse the posion. "This it?" He'd ask holding the bottle out to her for inspection. Once she approved it he'd guzzle it down and pass it to her to cure herself aswell. "That was some workout. Now to get the heart to the guy." Cracking his knuckles and going about prying the ribcage of the thing open right in the middle of the suite room. Soaking the carpeted floor in blood and guts as he ripped the heart out and wrapped it in a satin cloth. "I'll go deliver it and then rest up." He nodded. "I think you should go to the springs to relax. I can join you there afterward." He gave a big smirk and headed off where he'd give the heart to Mwenye." -e-
  55.
  56. (21:29:46) Persephone wouldn't have protested being gathered and carried back to the room; the doorway instantly closing. Oddly enough the creature's innards and blood would be gathered by an ethereal creature. Nodding at his question as she moved to find a better seat, taking a sip of the antidote as she chuckled. "It is one of many of my pets. We were in my realm. Far from my home. It wouldn't do well for mother or father to hear that I have returned with no intention of staying. I will clean up here once I have regained some strength. I hope the heart is useful to this Mwenye."
