>Being a small child in Equestria wasn’t easy, and living on a cloud city for a short time wasn’t any easier. For some reason, despite not being a pegasus, you could walk on clouds but not fly.
>It was such a hassle to get from one cloud to the other, and you had to rely on the ponies all the time for even something as basic as going to school.
>Luckily it wasn’t all bad; in your short time there, you made friends with two very friendly fillies. One, a shy and quiet yellow mare named Fluttershy, and the other, a loud, cyan colored tomboy named Rainbow Dash.
>After getting picked on by some bullies, Rainbow came to your rescue and drove them away. She even gave you rides to the other clouds when she could,
>”Ah I have a friend who’s not a good flyer either; I’d be rude NOT to help you.” She said when you felt bad about having her help you
>It was only for about a month until they decided it would be best if you lived on the ground. On your last day there, you had to say your goodbyes to Rainbow and Fluttershy.
>Giving Rainbow a hug, she sniffled a little before smiling “I’ll ace this test and go visit the moment I can, you’re going to Ponyville right?”
“Yeah…well bye Rainbow.” You wave as she hugs you one last time,
>”It’s a promise Anon, I’ll find you.”

>After a year of getting settled and starting your first semester in Ponyville, your new mom, a nice mare who works really hard as a waitress, drops you off in front of the new school before going to work.
>Walking in, you see all the class ponies and take a seat by the window. Waiting for the day to end, you get head out and wait for your mom to pick you up.
>”Hey there Anon, why the long face?” A familiar voice calls out as you look up and see Rainbow Dash flapping her wings over you, landing, she stands and smiles as you get up and hug her. “Whoa, nooo touching.” She laughs pushing you away and dusting herself off, she looks bigger than when you last saw her, and her mane has grown out.
>Unsure of what to say, or how to act, you nervously look at the floor. “C’mon Anon, its yer old pal Rainbow Dash, what’s up?”
“Just don’t know what to say.” You say as she turns around and lowers herself
>”Well you can figure it out while we hit the sky, I’ve gotten WAY better at flying than when you left. Hop on.”
>Crawling on her back, you wrap your arms around her neck as she lifts herself up, taps her hoof a few times on the floor, and then blasts off into the air.

>5 years later
>Walking into class with Rainbow, she takes her seat next to you as the teacher comes in.
>”Hello class, today we will be”
>While he is talking, you and Rainbow snicker while he walks over to his seat. Sitting down, he yelps and jumps up. Pulling a tack out of his butt, the class bursts out in laugher as he looks on annoyed.
>”Who did this?” He asks angrily as you and Rainbow practically fall onto the ground laughing
>”Of course.” He groans rolling his eyes “The delinquent duo, I expect to see you two after class.”

>In the empty classroom, you and Rainbow stack up the chairs and clean up the floor. Pushing the teachers table to the side, Rainbow cleans up the chalk board.
>”So you want to go sneak into the Everfree this weekend? I heard there’s an amazing thing somewhere in there.”
“I don’t know sounds dangerous. Why don’t we just go watch a movie or something?”
>”That’s BORING,” She sighs “C’mon, what happened to the FUN Anon? The one who liked to ride and do wicked flips in the air?”
“He died when his arm got broken, and his mom beat him the moment he got out of the hospital. Seriously Rainbow, my mom said I shouldn’t be hanging out with you, she says you’re a bad influence.”

“Fine, I guess we can sneak over so long as we aren’t gone that long.”
>Walking out of school, Rainbow lays herself down while you crawl on. Some nearby colts and fillies start snickering and whispering things while you get on.
>Looking over at them, Rainbow looks back "What’s their problem?"
"I don't know."
>"Well whatever, hang on Anon!" She yells before blasting off into the sky.
>That weekend, you got one of the nastiest cuts in your life on a tree branch in the forest.

>After what happened in the Everfree, things changed, and you were forbidden from seeing Rainbow Dash. Still, it didn’t stop you from sneaking away and secretly meeting up with her.

>Rainbow sits on a cloud eating ice cream while you look over at the lake. Today was Hearts and Hooves day, and since neither of you had a special somep0ny, you decided to just screw the holiday and chill.
>”This is way better than spending the day with some coltfriend you’ll probably break up with. Just two buds having a good time.”

>3 Months later, you sit at home when a knock at the door gets your attention.
>Answering it, you see Rainbow Dash wearing a white dress and her rainbow ribbon.
>She shyly looks away from you and fidgets with her dress. "So uhhh how do I look?" She asks as your mother walks up behind you
>"My, my, who is this lovely young mare?" She says warmly
>"It’s me..Rainbow Dash." She shyly says as your mother gasps

"Mom...she's my date to the Ponyville dance today."
>Your mother smiles and pats you on the back, "I see, well you two kids have fun; and I'll see you later tonight."
>With the door closed and you two alone, you both smile as she turns around and lets you mount her.
>"Cant belive she bought it." She smiles as he lifts herself up, “All rigit, hold on Anon!” She yells before rocketing into the sky,
>Though neither of you actually planned on going to the dance, and neither know where you will be heading now.
