- COOKING IN MARETH, proof of concept
- • Cooked food doesn't stack to prevent it from being unbalanced in battles with effects.
- • The only "food" that stacks is the Mistake.
- • Only X amount of food effects can be active at a time, eating something when at the limit can either replace the oldest effect or outright be ignored.
- • The maximum amount of ingredients per recipe is 3, with most using 2.
- • Ingredients encounters can be disabled via the cooking menu if players don't want to clog up the encounter rate any further.
- • Can be tied into taking companions with you into exploration if that ever gets implemented for healing them/buffing them.

- RECIPE BOOK
- A menu that contains all discovered recipes. A recipe is discovered and added to this menu when cooked by the player. In essence, it's something that both tracks recipes discovered by cooking and is a collection menu, giving the player something to complete by cooking every recipe.

- INGREDIENT INVENTORY
- Ingredients are items that take up an inventory slot, but can be infinitely stored at your camp once you bring them back and store them. Doing this grounds the ingredients in-world and give the players a sense of actually collecting them, as opposed to how the building materials work that just get added as a number to your camp. As the ingredients get stored outside of the existing storage options, it wont be a hindrance or tedious to collect them.

- INGREDIENTS
- Cake Mix
- Can be bought from the Tel'Adre bakery after inquiring about their ingredients (is that already an option? If so, tack this on there).
- Egg
- Just a simple nondescript egg. Can be found in the wild, can be bought somewhere.
- Honey
- Bee vomit.
- Ask the bee handmaiden for some. She might ask for something in return involving eggs, though.
- Maple Syrup
- Sap let from a maple tree and boiled into syrup.
- Finding a maple tree in the Forest.
- Apple
- Do you not know what an apple is?
- Found in the Forest.
- Fairy Tear
- A few fairy tears in a bottle.
- Obtained from Fairies.
- Dried Pasta

- Mangy Mango
- Found in the desert. Almost completely dried out mango.
- Cocoa Bean
- Found in/from ???.
- Sea Salt
- Can be found in chunks in the Glacial Rift.
- Bone-in Meat/Ano Niku
- A chunk of meat on a large bone. Don't question where it came from.
- Found on carnivorous enemies (naga? driders?).
- Pepper
- I don't trust that furry fuck Whitney at her farm. Judging by how many different peppers she's growing that turn you into a furry she's ready for an all out war. Have those peppers be an afterthought to normal peppers being grown there, and the transformative ones being sold to wannabe furries.
- Ice
- Icicles can be used in recipes. If Nieve is a companion she provides infinite ice.
