  1. COOKING IN MARETH, proof of concept
  2.
  3. • Cooked food doesn't stack to prevent it from being unbalanced in battles with effects.
  4. • The only "food" that stacks is the Mistake.
  5. • Only X amount of food effects can be active at a time, eating something when at the limit can either replace the oldest effect or outright be ignored.
  6. • The maximum amount of ingredients per recipe is 3, with most using 2.
  7. • Ingredients encounters can be disabled via the cooking menu if players don't want to clog up the encounter rate any further.
  8. • Can be tied into taking companions with you into exploration if that ever gets implemented for healing them/buffing them.

  14. RECIPE BOOK
  15.
  16. A menu that contains all discovered recipes. A recipe is discovered and added to this menu when cooked by the player. In essence, it's something that both tracks recipes discovered by cooking and is a collection menu, giving the player something to complete by cooking every recipe.

  22. INGREDIENT INVENTORY
  23.
  24. Ingredients are items that take up an inventory slot, but can be infinitely stored at your camp once you bring them back and store them. Doing this grounds the ingredients in-world and give the players a sense of actually collecting them, as opposed to how the building materials work that just get added as a number to your camp. As the ingredients get stored outside of the existing storage options, it wont be a hindrance or tedious to collect them.
