  1. Hi Amy
  2. It was good to see you last week. As we discussed, your
  3. changes in your body composition as per your DEXA scan,
  4. haven't been too dramatic, especially given the year you
  5. have had, post Rio and moving clubs, so well done.
  6. Below is a table with your current and previous data. You
  7. can see, since your last scan , you have gained -----, of
  8. which ---- if this is muscle tissue and only ---- of body
  9. fat. Your bone strength (z score) has remained the same.
  10. Under the table is some target values to work towards. For
  11. your height, ideally it would be good to sustain your muscle
  12. mass and just slightly reduce your body fat to ----kg for a
  13. training goal and for a competition goal. This isn't too
  14. much ofa change for you, and is likely to occur by just
  15. getting back into normal training and eating patterns, now
  16. that you are not in a hotel. We will get a re-scan before the
  17. next camp just to see that you are making progress towards
  18. the initial target ahead of the British. You know what to eat
  19. and you have your training sorted with Ross and Ruddy, but
  20. if there is anything you need from me to help you with this,
  21. just get in touch.
  22. Thanks
  23.
  24.
  25. Thank you for the scans, especially this one. I have
  26. some queries probably based on ignorance so can you
  27. enlighten me please.
  28. Amy's height seems to be going down every scan she
  29. has, is this right?
  30. Also, her last weight is 41.8 and you want her target
  31. weight 54kgs but this is 12.8kgs higher. She already
  32. looks a little heavy, is that right? Or have I got it 'A
  33. about F'
  34. Regards
  35. Colin
  36.
  37.
  38. Hi Colin
  39. Thanks for your email. I think you are reading the data the
  40. wrong way, but I think that is my fault, as I have the graph
  41. going in the other direction to the data in the table, so
  42. apologies. The recent scan in the table is the first set of data
  43. that you see, so Amy is 154cm and 52.9kg. Amy will never
  44. again be 41.8kg!! Does this make sense?
  45. Thanks
  46.
  47. It's great when someone turns the light on! Thanks ---
  48. I will get back to my skiing knowing that Amy is
  49. not turning into a fat dwarf!!
  50. Rest assured, Amy is in good shape. Enjoy your skiing
  51.
