- Hi Amy
- It was good to see you last week. As we discussed, your
- changes in your body composition as per your DEXA scan,
- haven't been too dramatic, especially given the year you
- have had, post Rio and moving clubs, so well done.
- Below is a table with your current and previous data. You
- can see, since your last scan , you have gained -----, of
- which ---- if this is muscle tissue and only ---- of body
- fat. Your bone strength (z score) has remained the same.
- Under the table is some target values to work towards. For
- your height, ideally it would be good to sustain your muscle
- mass and just slightly reduce your body fat to ----kg for a
- training goal and for a competition goal. This isn't too
- much ofa change for you, and is likely to occur by just
- getting back into normal training and eating patterns, now
- that you are not in a hotel. We will get a re-scan before the
- next camp just to see that you are making progress towards
- the initial target ahead of the British. You know what to eat
- and you have your training sorted with Ross and Ruddy, but
- if there is anything you need from me to help you with this,
- just get in touch.
- Thanks
- Thank you for the scans, especially this one. I have
- some queries probably based on ignorance so can you
- enlighten me please.
- Amy's height seems to be going down every scan she
- has, is this right?
- Also, her last weight is 41.8 and you want her target
- weight 54kgs but this is 12.8kgs higher. She already
- looks a little heavy, is that right? Or have I got it 'A
- about F'
- Regards
- Colin
- Hi Colin
- Thanks for your email. I think you are reading the data the
- wrong way, but I think that is my fault, as I have the graph
- going in the other direction to the data in the table, so
- apologies. The recent scan in the table is the first set of data
- that you see, so Amy is 154cm and 52.9kg. Amy will never
- again be 41.8kg!! Does this make sense?
- Thanks
- It's great when someone turns the light on! Thanks ---
- I will get back to my skiing knowing that Amy is
- not turning into a fat dwarf!!
- Rest assured, Amy is in good shape. Enjoy your skiing
