  1. Tonight on Demon's Souls:
  2. I suspect I may be overleveled for this content.
  3. Well with worlds 2, 4 and 5 tapped out there as only one more place to go. Back to World 3. I stomped my way through the prison, stopping only to release Freke because I'm nice like that. Then it was up the tower to chop a lying bastard in half and end his cheating spell. Then a quick drop down to the stairs where the Baby's Nail Black Phantom attacked. She gets points for effort but none for execution. My execution however was simple and effective: Hit blocking opponent with unblockable sword till they die. Then the boss; Fool's Idol. With a few quick swings I'd taken off more than a third of her health before her first teleport. That pattern repeated and soon another demon was dead.
  4. Then onto 3-2. Turns out from behind Garl's Shield there isn't anything actually threatening in 3-2. A bunch of bopped enemies later and I found the one foe (type) who might challenge me: A Black Phantom Mindflayer. Nasty things. Still a quick step and a back stab later and it went down. The other one up on the stairway to the boss was similarly backstabbed and then booted off to join the tower heart in the pit for good measure.
  5. And then the Maneaters. They're a bit rubbish. The surprise appearance of the second one managed to catch me off guard and as a pair they combo stunlocked me to death. Irritated I ran back up the stairs, giving the BP Mindflayer the boot again and rengaged. This time I was more aggressive and put the first Maneater below 15% health before the second turned up. About 15 seconds later and it was back to 1 on 1. About halfway through the second Maneater and it seemed to forget what it was doing, and just hovered off to the side of the bridge. I pulled out my bow and got his attention again and then finished him off in short order.
  6. Then up the stairs to see the final boss in 3-3. And oh boy do those last two BP Mindflayers pack a mean punch on their spells. But with a little back and forth footwork they were put down without too much trouble. That done I traversed the fog. Frankly I think the Pope in Yellow couldn't have made a worse choice of Black Phantoms to summon. The Old Monk with Claws and low power Homing Soul Arrows against Garl's 100% blocking shield. Like a heavy blanket in the clothes line the monk was given beating both vigourous and thorough. And then world 3 was done. Arch Demons slain: 4
  7. All that's left is to go into 1-3/1-4 and any world tendency tinkering I wish to do.
