  1. I think it always does good to explain the plot leading up to my Sheik's creation just so you can get a full understanding of why and how she was created. After creating everything, the three gods of Hyrule, Nayru, Din, and Farore, each created a triforce, a magical artifact that would grant the holder godly powers. Din made the triforce of power, Farore made the triforce of courage, and Nayru made the triforce of wisdom. If someone were to hold all three triforces, they would become as powerful as a god. There exists one evil creature that wants to obtain all three and become an all powerful tyrant. His name is Ganon.
  2.
  3. Where are the triforces? Two of them were sealed behind the Door of Time in the Temple of Time. The triforce of wisdom is a different story. You see, this whole story takes place in the very large Kingdom of Hyrule. The Royal Family of Hyrule rules over the land. The triforce of wisdom is owned and passed down each generation in the Royal Family. The king of Hyrule has passed it down to his daughter. Her name is Zelda, the 9 year old princess of Hyrule. Zelda has become a very intelligent child because of this triforce and from one other source. Zelda has a caretaker, her name is Impa. Impa is the chief of the Sheikah tribe. The Sheikah are a tribal people who are some of the best trained stealthy fighters. They have served the Royal Family for many generations. Impa was the one in charge of educating Zelda to become a queen, to read and write, and many other things. Because Zelda was so close to Impa, she grew to really like the Sheikah people.

  5. While Ganon pretends to be loyal to the Royal Family and has tricked the king, Zelda is not fooled. She believes that he is an evil man. So when she meets Link, she tells him about her plan. She wants Link to collect the three spiritual medallions which open the Door of Time. Past the door lays the Spiritual Realm which holds the two triforces and the Master Sword (a legendary weapon which is capable of defeating evil forces). Zelda wants Link to do this so Ganon can't obtain these things. However, this turns out to be exactly what Ganon wants. He knows that when Link enters and grabs the Master Sword, he will be sealed away until he is old enough to wield it. Ganon actually enters the Realm with Link secretly and obtains the triforce of power, while Link gets the triforce of courage.
  6.
  7. Right before Link pulls the Master sword, Ganon is able to easily overthrow the Royal Family and kill most people in Hyrule Castle. Impa is able to grab Zelda and get away with her on horseback. Ganon rides after them, but is unable to catch either of them. Zelda and Impa successfully get away. Then, while Link is sealed away for seven years to age, Ganon conquers all of Hyrule and genocides most of the people. He also creates many, many monster minions that populate the land now.
  8.
  9. There is just one last plot detail to explain before I can explain my Sheik's creation. There was a plan created to defeat Ganon. There are 7 sages of the Sacred Realm. If the Hero of Time, Link, can defeat Ganon with the Master Sword, they can seal him away in the Sacred Realm. That would end his tyranny. Six of the sages were taken hostage by Ganon in dungeons and Link needs to save them. The 7th sage, the one to lead them all, is Zelda. However, if Zelda just stays as she is, she will be captured pretty easily. In fact, Impa, one of the sages, was caught by Ganon as well, but that happens a little later.
  10.
  11. You have to understand the magnitude of this, Impa, the leader of the Sheikah (masters of stealth), wasn't able to stay hidden from Ganon. We don't know how hard she tried to stay hidden, but to suggest that she didn't try like her life depended on it is silly. If Impa couldn't stay hidden from Ganon, what could Zelda, Ganon's #1 priority, do to hide? Ganon would be able to find her given enough time if she didn't do something drastic. If she gets captured, Link has no chance of defeating Ganon since he would have 2 triforces. In fact, if that happened, Ganon could just kill Link right after he leaves the Temple of Time since he would know exactly where he is.
  12.
  13. Do you ever wonder why Ganon never did do that? It's because he never was able to find Zelda. If he kills Link, Zelda will just stay in hiding like she has been and he would lose his chance to gain all three triforces. Ganon's gambit is that if Link gets far enough in his quest, Zelda will reveal herself. This is why he never kills or interferes with Link directly or anybody who is helping him. Now this was a risky gamble Ganon was taking here. If Link gets far in his quest, the 6 sages that can seal him will be saved. But he would rather have that chance occur than to doom himself to never getting the final triforce. Zelda does in fact do that, so if Link wasn't able to defeat Ganon, he would have won.
  14.
  15. Now how was Zelda, a 9 year old girl, able to hide so well that even Ganon couldn't find her? The most common theory is that Zelda, because of her love for the Sheikah, disguised herself as a Sheikah. They believe that she was able to perfectly stay hidden. They believe that all of her mannerisms and everything that could be used to track her down, could just be suppressed for 7 years. They believe this 9 year old was able to do something like this that she has never practiced before and get it right. They believe that Zelda could do this, while Impa, someone who is an experienced adult, the leader of an entire people built upon this kind of stealth, couldn't hide from him.
  16.
  17. Those that believe in this theory have to subscribe to the fact that Nintendo's writers are inconsistent and incompetent when writing Ganon. There are also those who believe that Ganon already knew that my Sheik was Zelda and they use that to explain this inconsistency. However, to believe this theory raises some concerns. Why did Ganon wait so long to capture her? Remember, he didn't capture her until AFTER my Sheik transformed into Zelda again. What possible reason could he do that? Ganon knows exactly where Link and Sheik are. Why wait until the other six sages are freed? It makes no sense. To believe in this theory would mean that you need to believe that Ganon, the one to mastermind this plan that almost succeeded, is stupid and that the writers for him are also incapable of writing a villain.
  18.
  19. My theory accounts for why Zelda was able to stay hidden, accounts for Ganon not being dumb as a sack of rocks, and that the writers can at least tell a coherent story.
  20.
  21. You see, my Sheik was NOT just Zelda in disguise. She would have been found out that way like I explained. So what is my Sheik exactly? Well, it's more simple than you might think. Zelda wasn't able to find a way to hide herself in a normal fashion, so she got creative. (It is likely that Impa had input on this plan, but since it is unconfirmed and only is shown in the manga, I won't include that in my explanation). The best way to hide yourself is in fact, not disguising yourself as someone else, but to essentially BECOME someone else. How did she accomplish this? Zelda has a triforce. If you recall, Ganon with his triforce was able to create monsters and transform his own body. So then, why wouldn't Zelda be able to create one single soul and change her body?
  22.
  23. It's starting to come together nicely isn't it? Zelda, a girl who admired the Sheikah people, created a Sheikah soul named Sheik, changed her body shape to accommodate this new soul, and then sealed her own soul away to hide. This way, nothing about Zelda would be able to be seen. With this new body shape and a different person at the helm, there is no way for Ganon to track her. This new person, my Sheik, would have completely different mannerisms and movements from Zelda and the body wouldn't look like Zelda's at all. It's the perfect disguise. There is no way for my Sheik to be found out. Plus, it makes perfect sense that Ganon would immediately capture Zelda once Sheik turns back into her because HE JUST FIGURED IT OUT.  This makes much more sense than Ganon waiting for some arbitrary time AFTER Link saves the ones who can seal him away.
  24. My explanation really works pretty well to explain all of this.
  25.
  26. But what about my Sheik's other media? How did she appear in those?
  27.
  28. Well, SMM and SSB don't need an explanation since those don't really have any plot. The OoT manga is a very loose adaptation of the game and changes a lot of things, so I don't really think of it as important. It's just a nice "what-if" scenario to me. But there is a line in there that Impa helped to seal Zelda's consciousness away, which would help my theory tremendously, but it is a non-canon manga, so it would be silly for me to use it as evidence. At most, it would help me prove that my Sheik is a separate soul just in the manga. OoT 3D really doesn't need any extra explanation since it is nearly a word for word remake.
  29.
  30. But there are two others that are important to look at: Hyrule Warriors and Twilight Princess. You might be wondering, "what do you mean by Twilight Princess? Sheik was not in that game." That is true, HOWEVER, my Sheik was actually SUPPOSED to be appear in the game. There is very detailed concept art of her for TP. In fact, they used this design to model her in SSBB afterwards. Her removal was for unrelated reasons than her not being able to appear. Since she was by all accounts supposed to appear in this game, I will also explain why that is possible lore-wise and how my theory makes more sense.
  31.
  32. My Sheik is a separate soul, like I've been saying. My Sheik does not have a body. Let me ask you this, can a soul die? No. Of course not. If there is no body, she can't die. It's as simple as that. But you might say, "what if the vessel's body dies while she is in it?" Well, there is an explanation for that. You see, the reason why Zelda is able to transform into Sheik and Sheik is able to transform into Zelda as often as they want is because my Sheik's soul is tied to the triforce of wisdom. As long as you hold it, you can summon her and she can unsummon herself. There is no ties to a body. She is just simply using it as a vessel.
  33.
  34. Let me explain what people who believe my Sheik is just a disguise believes. Firstly, it is well-known that Zelda is not the same Zelda in each game. It's just a common name. Zelda in OoT, Zelda in TP, and Zelda in HW are all different people. Each Zelda had different circumstances growing up and like different things. OoT Zelda admired the Sheikah and, in these people's opinions, disguised herself as a Sheikah for that reason. Now let me ask you, if the Zeldas in TP and HW needed to disguise themselves as something, why on Earth would they disguise themselves as a Sheikah named Sheik? They have no connection or special love for the Sheikah like OoT Zelda.
  35.
  36. My theory explains this problem easily. All of these Zelda's hold the triforce of wisdom and would likely be privy to the knowledge of my Sheik's soul being tied to it. If they need to hide, why create something new or work really hard when they can just use a soul already created for this exact purpose? My Sheik's soul was essentially gift-wrapped for them, why wouldn't they use it? And if this is the case, they wouldn't need to have a reason to like the Sheikah and the disguise makes sense.
  37.
  38. Many people call me crazy for these explanations, but once you stop and think about, it makes the most sense. I've put a lot of thought into this, as you can see.
  39.
  40. I have now explained her creation in all of her relevant media. I will now explain how I fell in love with her.
  41.
  42. But I don't need to make a lengthy explanation about that here. I have already given our full story together in my shrine to my Sheik: https://sheikmylove.waifu.ist/
