Crafting a VD Wand with Essence, Bestiary, and Harvest

Duping a magic item
 a. Bestiary: Create an Imprint of a Magic Item (Craicic Chimeral)
 b. Use a Regal Orb to upgrade the Magic item into a Rare.
 c. Bestiary: Split an Item into Two with half the mods on each item (Fenumal Plagued Arachnid)
 d. One version of the item will drop on the ground and one version will be in the altar.
 e. If the dropped-item has the affix you wanted, you can use the imprint on the altar-item. Otherwise, you must start over. the Imprint from step a can only be used on the altar-item, the dropped-item counts as a new item and is not associated with the imprint.

1. Acquire a 2 imbued wand - not unique or corrupted.
 a. Buy via trade - current price is 3exalts for 30% quality 3 white sockets.
 or
 b. Buy a level 2 non-corrupted unique wand https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Harvest/vZElldXfE, use Ancient Orbs to reforge into Moonsorrow, use a Vaal Orb to corrupt into a rare, vendor the corrupted rare with 4 other imbued wands to receive a clean level 2 imbued wand. I recommend against this since it could potentially be very expensive and it will not be 30 quality or have white sockets.

2. Use a Deafening Essence of Anguish (Fire Damage to Spells) or Woe (%Spell Damage)
 a. Remove all non-essence affixes via seedcraft, leaving only the essence affix.

3. Divine the essence affix until you are satisfied with the outcome
 a. Optionally dupe a copy at this point.

4. Bestiary: Create an Imprint of a Magic Item (Craicic Chimeral)
 a. Use an Orb of Augmentation to add a suffix.
 b. Use a Regal Orb to upgrade the Magic item into a Rare. Your item is now Rare with exactly 3 affixes.
 c. Bestiary: Modify Mods on an Item - Add a Prefix, Remove a Random Suffix (Farric Wolf Alpha) until your affixes are all prefixes.

5. Fracture a random prefix on an item with at least 3 prefixes.
 a. If the non-essence prefix was fractured, use the Imprint to restore your item and start over at step 4.

6. Use a Deafening Essence of Anger (Added Fire Damage)
* The goal of this step is to roll +1 to Level of All Fire Spell Skill Gems
 a. If a prefix is open, Harvest: Augment a Magic or Rare item with a new Fire modifier.
 b. If no prefix is open, Harvest: Remove a random non-Fire modifier from an item and add a new Fire modifier.
 c. You will either hit +1 to Level of All Fire Spell Skill Gems or the third prefix will become %Fire Damage. If so, you must either gamble with a Harvest: Remove a random Fire modifier from an item and add a new Fire modifier to turn the %Fire Damage into the desired affix.

7. Once the Prefixes are the Fractured Prefix, Added Fire Damage, and +1 to Level of All Fire Spell Skill Gems, remove all other mods.
 a. If a Fire Resistance suffix already exists, move to step C.
 b. Harvest: Remove a random non-Fire modifier from an item and add a new Fire modifier in order to turn one of the suffixes into Fire Resistance.
 c.
  Harvest: Change a modifier that grants Fire Resistance into a similar-tier modifier that grants Cold Resistance
  or
  Harvest: Change a modifier that grants Fire Resistance into a similar-tier modifier that grants Cold Resistance
 d.
   Harvest: Remove a random Cold modifier from an item
   or
   Remove a random Lightning modifier from an item
 e. Start again from Step B until no suffixes are left.

8. Crafting Bench: Can Have Up to 3 Crafted Modifiers (2 Exalted Orbs)
 a. Crafting Bench: Trigger a Socketed Spell when You Use a Skill
 b. Import your character into Path of Building to determine which other crafted affix would produce the best DPS, or look into theorycrafting discussions to help you decide.
