  1. It was always sunny in Conton, he mused. He walked into the bakery that was situated on this street of the Urban District. Now while this particular bakery was nothing remarkable the woman who ran it gave him free coffee. Granted she gave everyone free anything, it often baffled him how she stayed in business, sometimes he'd leave handfuls of Zeni on the counter, he didn't know if she needed it or not but he didn't want to just take it from her for free. Well, most of the time anyway. He appreciated that she not only knew his name, but knew just how he liked his coffee, it was nice, being remembered like that.

  3. He walked out again, taking a sip of his coffee and beginning his trek towards his lab. He would be thirty five soon, he remembered. His birthday will also mark the ten year point of his career as a Patroller. Ten long years of fighting to save time, of climbing through the ranks of the Patrol. He held the current rank of Commander, it seems strange really, all he had done to get there was do the job he was given quickly and efficiently. Years on and here he was, although, getting there hadn't been easy. To become part of the Time Patrol he had to give up a few things. It seems they frowned on "Cannibalism." He scoffed at that, one of the partners he was with had nearly had a heart attack when he started eating the time anomaly on his first job. He'd even been told that he'd have an easier time if he "Cut off his tail." He'd tried to murder the person who told him to do that. A Saiyan without a tail was no Saiyan at all.

  5. He also apparently had a reputation around Conton City. And as a weakling no less. It irritated him to no end and indeed people were even making his whole existence out to be a joke. He remembered the woman who had had the gall to wonder how he had beat her, effortlessly, since he was such a weakling. A Saiyan too no less, filth. He may not always come out on top in his sparring matches but that in no way meant he was weak. Years of facing down the countless horrors the Time Patrol sent you up against made sure of that. Speaking of horrors his mind turned to the Halfbreed, Rupiri.

  7. When Matos had first told him of her... Condition, he had been disgusted, but that had quickly turned into pity. He may have disliked her, and even despised her for always breaking and humiliating him, but she was the spitting image of a proud warrior, and to be rendered as little more than a puppet... That had rankled him for some reason.
