  1. “Hey Youtube, it's Raptor Girl!” Katie gives a peace-sign to the camera in her hand, “I'm here at the Rodmarton dig site, partially security and partially just, y'know, as a fangirl. What we're hoping to find today is some proceratosaurus bits, which any buffs watching will know is a therapod, a fast fella who stood on two legs – or at least, that's what we believe, since all we have of proceratosaurus at the moment is part of a skull, so...” Katie gives a one-handed shrug, “However, the team is confident from some bone fragments turned up in landscaping that they're gonna find something real special.”
  2. The camera pans away from Katie and is rotated to face in front of her as she walks to the edge of a slope, “If you look down here, you'll see the dig site itself. It's been a bit tied up for a while, as there was a bit of legal hoo-hah about who owns what bit of land, but they've made quick progress since the dig started a couple days ago and we're just at the point now where out first samples, if we're right and there's some to find, will start showing up.” The camera rotates around in Katie's hand to view her face again, “So I will check out for now and hit you up again when we find anything.”

  4. The video cuts, back to Katie's face looking excited in a similar spot overlooking the dig site, “Hey, so, Professor Armand has begun uncovering what looks like spine, and if so, that's huge, because-” As she's speaking, in the background a voice can be heard saying “Hold it right there, pointdexters, wouldn't want to harm the merchandise, would we?”, which can be heard clearer when Katie stops to listen to it and looks over her shoulder. “Oh, shoot! Kevin, here.” The camera loses all focus to motion blur for a moment as it is tossed to a person previously behind it. The sound of feet pounding against dirt, and the camera's new holder panicking, can be heard for a few moments before the lens re-orients, looking down into the dig site as Katie glides down on feathery wings coming out of her arms. In addition to many distressed but still palaeontologists, the dig site also contains a figure in a military-looking black outfit, face hidden by a balaclava. He throws up a hand at Katie as she approaches and a dark blue tendril stretches out from his palm towards her. The wings disappear and she rolls in the air, landing as her legs transform. She clears the short distance between her and the masked man extremely quickly, another tendril striking the ground behind her. She swipes an arm at him – which becomes a claw on the way – to have it deflected by an up-close tendril, knocking her off balance. He brings down his right with a heavy whiplash, only to have it connect with her arms, crossed above her head to block the shot. In the moment she plants her right foot on his chest and pulls, the claw snagging something – the camera doesn't make it clear at this distance – and letting her drag him down underneath her as she wrenches the leg back down. She grabs him by the shoulders with both hands, then leaps off the ground, away from the dig site and away from the camera. She can distantly be seen throwing him face-down into the ground as she lands, then kneeling on top of him to pin him. Some woops and claps can be heard, some of them visibly coming from the scientists in the dig, and someone nearby – possibly the camera operator – says “Holy-”

  6. The video cuts, now to Katie in front of the camera on the other side of the dig site where the masked man is being arrested by local police. “Well, that was a shame. Unfortunately, villains harassing the scientific community like this has only gotten worse as time has gone on, and fresh supers looking to make a name for themselves will often find that underfunded scientific groups make for a high-profile hit without having the security of, say, a jewel exhibit or an art gallery. That's why it's so important that the good guys commit their time to endeavours like this dig, and if you or someone you know is ready and willing to do that, there's links in the description. Sorry, yeah, anyway, so, everyone's fine, no damage to the sample, that's the good news. Unfortunately it looks like most of the rest of the day is gonna be taken up by giving statements and letting the police and the security team make sure this guy didn't have a team waiting around the area somewhere, so I'll probably post this as a short video then upload a long video about the dig itself once everything is wrapped up and we know what's what. Sorry again, but Kevin says he got some pretty decent shots of the fight, so hopefully you cape fans will get something out of the video at least. Okay, now I have to go join the rest of the security team, and after that I'll quickly edit and upload this. Looking forward to seeing more progress from this dig and confirming that we've got what we think we've got, maybe even find more of the skeleton, who knows? In the meantime, share this video with your friends, like and comment, and stay cool, fossil fans!”
