  1. from /hhg/ Helluva Hotel General #921
  2. Demonic Town Edition
  3. Cheerleader Edition
  4. -------------
  5. >Boss Anon, What was the living world like?
  6.
  7. They can't get enough of your mediocre life. It fascinates them.
  8. ---
  9. >you bring up the idea of movie night
  10. >most Hellborne actually know very little about human society, as their approach to them is almost always strictly practical
  11. >they accept, even when you bring up that you guys could invite I.M.P. over - they're just across the hallway, after all
  12. >of course, there's some grumbling from Verosika, and Blitzo immediately starts acting like an ass, until Moxxie and Millie calmly, but firmly tell him that if he doesn't shut the f-k up and sit down, they'll happily let him be kicked out
  13. >now, with both Verosika and Blitzo sulking, you decided to finally start the film
  14.
  15.
  16. What films would you guys show them?
  17. I have a couple of ideas, but I wanna hear what you guys come up with.
  18. -
  19. Either some "grounded" classics (like terminator, Indiana Jones or rocky).
  20. It would be interesting for them to comment on films like the The Exorcist.
  21. However, I would personally try a loved animated movie just too see how they react to animation and actual wholesome wonder (idk, like spirited away or toy story)
  22.
  23. No, f-k it all, do Titanic.
  24. ---
  25. Forrest Gump or Whiplash.
  26. -------------------
  27. Reposting and extending prompt from previous thread:
  28.
  29. >be (you), sinner
  30. >hired by I.M.P. to be their accountant
  31. >eventually snagged by Verosika's crew to do their paperwork as well
  32. >you run this sht like a boss
  33. >of course, the leaders of each group don't like the fact that they have to share you (pretty much the exact opposite of your childhood custody, but that's a story for another day)
  34.
  35. >you bring up the idea of movie night
  36. >most Hellborne actually know very little about human society, as their approach to them is almost always strictly practical
  37. >they accept, even when you bring up that you guys could invite I.M.P. over - they're just across the hallway, after all

  42. What films would you guys show them?
  43. I have a couple of ideas, but I wanna hear what you guys come up with.
  44.
  45. So far, we've had:
  46. >Terminator
  47. >Indiana Jones
  48. >Rocky
  49. (either first move or the whole series, wasn't specified with either)
  50. >The Exorcist
  51. >Titanic
  52. >Forrest Gump
  53. >Whiplash
  54.
  55. Personally, I'd show them Wargames.
  56. -
  57. I am a big fan of horror, so it will be a long list
  58.
  59. evil dead
  60. friday the 13th
  61. halloween 1978
  62. john carpenter the thing 1982
  63. hellraiser
  64. texas chainsaw massacre 1974
  65. scream 1996
  66. nightmare on elm Street
  67. The Shining
  68. the exorcist 1973
  69.
  70. and a lot more, I can go on but I don't want to spam horror stuff 24/7 in here.
  71. ----
  72. Fast and Furious 1 through 9, this is hell after all.
  73. --------
  74. inhabitants of hell should wear powdered wigs
  75. -
  76. Powdered with coke
  77. -
  78. Sure, I was reading the movie night stuff from earlier and it got me wondering about Hellborn and how they view humans.
  79. It seems they try to emulate human society from the top down, albeit in a twisted and edgy fashion.
  80. I feel like it would make sense if they adopted customs from various human cultures over the years. Especially ones that seem strange, archaic or flashy.
  81. And instead of dropping these adopted customs, their sense of fashion and cultural nomenclature as humans would as society evolves, the Hellborne would hold onto them as a sort of quirk.
  82. A lot of sinners came into Hell from the 18th century probably wearing powdered wigs and I don't think it's much of a stretch to imagine a lot of curious demons co-opting the fashion.
  83. I think Blitzo would look especially good with a fancy wig.
