His heart bleeds,
tears falling in beads;

as we sift through memories,
we lose ourselves in reveries.

Sewing the seeds of our family trees,
amidst the weeds, we try not to displease.

As we hear the quiet drip.. drip.. ripple.
It brings back our clear pain, we cripple.

As we stand, here and now,
looking for a solemn vow,

to ourselves, of once true love,
to move on, we push and shove.

Wasted time, perhaps,
never forget, we collapse.

Their smiles, lifting at night,
try as we might, to fight and be forthright

we cannot forget;
otherwise, with deep regret,

we lose ourselves again,
until we say amen.
