- tears falling in beads;
- as we sift through memories,
- we lose ourselves in reveries.
- Sewing the seeds of our family trees,
- amidst the weeds, we try not to displease.
- As we hear the quiet drip.. drip.. ripple.
- It brings back our clear pain, we cripple.
- As we stand, here and now,
- looking for a solemn vow,
- to ourselves, of once true love,
- to move on, we push and shove.
- Wasted time, perhaps,
- never forget, we collapse.
- Their smiles, lifting at night,
- try as we might, to fight and be forthright
- we cannot forget;
- otherwise, with deep regret,
- we lose ourselves again,
- until we say amen.
