  7. Warframe: The Path To Greatness (Beginners miniguide)
  8.
  9. 0. Basic Starting advices.
  10.
  11. How you begin the game and what you do, do not really matter. The only thing I'd advise here is to pick Excalibur as the starter, because he's the most pain in the rear to farm afterwards, while Mag and Volt are easy to get.
  12.
  13. Spend your starting platinum on warframe and weapon slots. Cosmetics should wait until you get more comfortable with the game.
  14.
  15. Get a Taxon Sentinel and equip a Vacuum mod on it. It is cheap to make and incredibly handy to have, especially on the lower levels. Vacuum will help you gather loot and resources that you need to build stuff.
  16.
  17. At Mastery Rank 3, join a syndicate. They are special groups with their own ideologies that will provide you with unique equipment in return for favours measured in "standing". Put their emblem on your Warframe, and you will gain standing passively during regular play. The maximum daily standing islimited by your MR, so the sooner you start, the sooner you get their (very useful) items. After increasing your relations ot 2nd rank you will be able to do missions for them. More on that later.
  18.
  19. Find a clan. Do not make your own, as the game suggests. Clans serve as gateways to teamplay and a load of content, and require tremendous resource investments to develop if you try and make one of your own. So don't. Go to Recruitment channel and look for Clan recruiters. Filter out the name "Clan" to see only the messages you need.
  20.
  21. Explore the systems and try to get through all the junctions as fast as you can. You dont have to complete all the missions, but you should complete all adjuscent missions so you can access to any mission if need be, even if it's not yet completed. This will ensure you don't miss an invasion/alert with important items that are exclusive to those.
  22.
  23. Rush to Mastery Rank 5 and complete Natah->Second Dream->War Within quest line. This will give you access to new gameplay mechanics, and allow to participate in Sorties which are a set of extra tough missions with more substantial reward at the end than the usual ones.
  24.
  25.
  26. I. Equipment and modding basics.
  27.
  28. "Mastery Rank" is your accounts merit of accomplishment. It is a synonim of a "Level" from other games, and "Mastering" (leveling) the equipment is the way you get Mastery Rank. You can only master an item once (different variants count as different items), and if you sell an item before leveling it to 30, next time you get it and begin leveling it, you will not be getting mastery until you get it to prior level you abandoned it at. So even if you don't like particular piece of equipment, I highly advise you not to discard it until you level it.
  29.
  30. The titular WarFrames are both your characters (in sense they have their own abilities) and your equipment (In sense that they follow same rules and you can farm, craft and mod them). Generally, all of them are usefulin some way and you should not discard them
  31.
  32. You can level up all your equipment and frames up to rank 30, but that does not increase the power of weapons, and only marginally boosts abilities of Warframes. What it does however, is increase the mod capacity, and the mods you install are what truly gives power to your equipment. Versatility of WF's system is you can swap mods around as much as you want as long as they fit the capacity.
  33.
  34. You can increase the mod capacity of your equipment by installing Reactors (into warframes/companions) and Catalysts (into weapons) - that doubles their capacity. Those are called "potatoes" by the community due to their shape. They are quite rare andcan bea acquired from alerts, invasions and sorties (more on those later).
  35.
  36. Mods you receive start at lowest level, and can be upgraded using a special resource, Endo, you can get as a drop, mission reward, or dissolving duplicate mods you don't want. Do not bother upgrading damaged mods, unless you really want to. Undamaged versions are much better and are pretty common. If RNG hates you and you can't find them - ask in General or Trading chat and it's very likely that people will be willing to give them to you for free. Note that you must be MR2 to trade.
  37.
  38. You can cram in even more mods with the help of Polarities and Forma. The symbol on top-right of the modimage is a polarity. If you put the mod in a slot with matching polarity, it would occupy half as much space (rounded up), and if you mis-match polarities it would occupy more than it should.

  58. Join Syndicates.
  59. Do syndicate missions and collect medallions.
  60. Rise up to top rank in syndicates and sell weapon parts for constant plat income, at least 15-20 plat a day
  61.
  62. This activity also gives you some relics along the way.
  63.
  64. Use relics to run pub fissures.
  65. Get primes.
  66. Use Warframe.market to sell stuff for plat.
  67. 1 fissure leads to about 5-7 pl at the minimum, ~2-4 if you're unlucky, ~30-50 if you are lucky and get a good rare or someone who runs vaulted relic. If you get a luck streak stick with the host.
  68.
  69. After you max a syndicate playing for 1-2 hr a day with their insignia gives you ~10pl of passive income in standing (exchange for weapon parts). With that you will stop worrying about slots and potatoes pretty soon.
  70.
  71.
  72. ////////////syndicates
  73.
  74. Syndicates have relationships with each other, and different merchandise, but if you join a clan or alliance you'd be able to exchange items of your syndicate for whatever you want from another syndicate.
  75.
  76. Most popular way is to Do missions and wear insignia of Steel meridian, and do missions (but not turn in medallions) for Cephaon Suda - this gives you access to 4 syndicates.
  77. SM also level up Red Veil (slowly), but RV dislikes Suda so if you level suda too much you will negate whatever SM bonus does, so follow above tactic.
  78. Suda levels Arbiters slowly.
  79.
  80. Above tactiv will level SM pretty fast, Cephalon suda a bit slower, Arbiters at moderate speed and RV somewhat slowly but suely, and also gives you quick access to all the best team consumables (plates) of each type.
  81.
  82. After you get everything you want from each syndicate - AW weapon parts, augments - very few of them actually worth shit - weapons and cosmetics, spend all your standing and level New Loka + Perrin Sequence. If you level both at same time they will rise up really quickly and you still keep Red Veil.
