SGDQ Wish List

Well, it's SGDQ games list week! I'm going to post my "wish list" of games here... but first, thoughts on how I'm doing with my submission:

I'm starting to feel quite nervous about it. I've been ok at distracting myself up til now, but with just two days to go, I definitely am feeling the angst. This is the best chance I've ever had to get DKC2 into GDQ. The game hasn't been in the marathon in awhile, there aren't a lot of other candidates, and there's a lot of interesting new tech in both of the categories I submitted. As I mentioned in my submission, I definitely would prefer to play 102 in the marathon, as that is my JAM. It's also the run I'm better at (at least as far as the leaderboards are concerned) and much better known for. But I've really been enjoying playing any% lately, and if I do get in with that category, it would be as a race vs Kanis. Which would be an absolute honor. I have learned *so* much from watching this guy practice and work, and his tutorials have really helped take my game to another level.

And I feel like my game *has* another level to get to! The thing that makes me nervous about this is I fear that they may still not think I'm good enough. My submission videos weren't the strongest I can play, either - it was just videos to prove that I was still current on the game. But by the time the marathon rolls around, I've got a lot of confidence that I could have either that 1:29 or 39 that I know I'm capable of. But I don't know if they'll look at that, or if they'll just see that I'm not top-3 on the leaderboards and say no out of hand. Maybe I'm irrational and letting my fears take over. But I figured I'd just speak to it all the same, in the interest of being transparent.

Anyways.... I'm not going to do a games prediction or anything, but I thought it would be fun to say some of the games I'd *like* to see get in! (please don't take offense if your submission or favorite isn't on this list - I only did a quick glance at things so I almost certainly missed some stuff, and I'm focusing on games that I'm personally familiar with or have some connection to). Also, this is not going to be anywhere enough time to fill up the whole week - but I'm not familiar enough with the rest to even have an opinion.

I thought about going through and writing up thoughts on each and why I'd like to see it... but instead, ask me if you're curious!
