  1. Without going into detail, I resigned from my current job and will be unemployed after next Friday. I am actively seeking new employment and have a lot of potential avenues to get me a new job hopefully soon. However, the last time I went job hunting, things took much longer than I ever wanted them to.
  2.
  3. I have enough income saved to be financially secure for at least a couple months I think, and I'm more qualified for positions than I was a few years ago, so hopefully I can get a new job soon. But there's always that chance that things don't work out the way I want.
  4.
  5. So I'm going to set up some sub and donation goals for my stream. I don't know exact specifics of what I'll do, but stuff I have in mind for goals include an NST 315% run, CTRNF 101%, and a Crash 1-TWoC 411%. I'm also going to look into getting some new sub emotes, since I think the emotes I have now are rather basic and unimpressive.
  6.
  7. I'm also going to look into setting up a Discord server to better establish a stream community, and to give people the option to use sub emotes on Discord if they would like to.
  8.
  9. Additionally, the donations button on my stream is always active.
  10.
  11. I would never ask for subs and donations if it wasn't necessary, and even now, no one is obligated to help support me. I stream and speedrun as a hobby, and have never once seriously contemplated the idea of pursuing this as a full time thing. But there is that chance that money could be tight for me in the near future, and I simply want to leave the option of people supporting me because they want to open.
  12.
  13. Any support in any way would be greatly appreciated, but again, please don't feel obligated to do so. There is the possibility that I get a new job fairly quickly, and if that happens I will still fulfill any goals or incentives that are met. But there's also the chance that job hunting becomes as tedious as the last time, and in that case I want to try and build a cushion to support myself on for a little bit.
  14.
  15.
  16. Also, regardless of what happens, I still fully intend on going to AGDQ.
  17.
  18. ---------------------------------------------
  19.
  20. As for things that aren't related to financial woes, I haven't really given an update on what my speedplans are in quite a bit.
  21.
  22. In terms of Crash Bandicoot, I think I am supremely burned out on OG Crash 2 and likely will be for a while. The 1:19 grind was far more frustrating than I ever thought it would be, and after trying to play the game again earlier this week I've realized that all of my motivation to play it has basically been exhausted. I have achieved every goal I had in the game (42 in No GO, 39 in GO, and 1:19 in 100%), and while I could definitely push those all down further (100% especially), I don't really want to right now. So for now I'll let it rest, probably for a long while (or at least until the next 1545). As for NST, I definitely found it refreshing to return to the game after almost a year away from it, because I had far less expectations I was putting on myself. I'm by no means done with it, but I'm enjoying coming and going with it, and I think I'll continue to do that. 108 is definitely still on the table, as are C2 Any and 102, but anything else is up in the air. I may look at All Gems/105 again but it's not a priority.
  23.
  24. I have been enjoying Harry Potter immensely, far more than I ever expected, and far more than any non-Crash game I have run before it. I definitely plan on continuing running it, especially now that there's a No Major Skips category officially. I also just bought a copy of Chamber of Secrets so I will look into potentially learning that as well.
  25.
  26. I'll likely do more Spyro Reignited in the future, but I hit a point where it was getting very frustrating a lot quicker than I expected. Spyro is a hard game to run, so idk how seriously I'll take it.
  27.
  28. The next game I plan on revisiting is A Hat in Time. I'll probably look into that if I start to feel a burnout on HP1.
  29.
  30. CTRNF speedruns probably won't return as a regular thing. The game is too painful on my hands after extended amounts of time, which along with small mistakes just being pretty taxing dilutes my enjoyment of it. I'll probably still play it casually here and there, especially whenever a new grand prix pops up.
  31.
  32. Other than that, I have nothing really set in stone. Hopefully things will be looking up in the future, but I appreciate all the current and future support I get. The viewers and the community make this hobby worth every moment.
