  10. WHAT IS ISLAM, start here_______________________________________
  11. The Lives of the Prophets and the Life of Muhammad ﷺ audio series. Why are Muslims so unwaveringly certain of the truth of Islam? Amd why do they love Muhammad ﷺ so much that it's the most common name worldwide? Find out through these series.

  25. Note the Paradise in Islam is literally not on earth including the primordial paradise. Also Adam, عليه السلام, IS created in the image of Allah, عز و جل, contrary to what this series asserts (the series goes by Imam Nawawi who is a renowned scholar but is wrong here based on other Hadiths, for example hitting someone in the face is prohibited based on it). Image however does not include likeness or resemblance, and if you wonder how an image can not resemble what it's an image of then considered abstract art. The story of Habil and Qabil (Abel and Cain) is not covered because they are not prophets but it's in the Qur'an.

  36. newmuslimacademy.org is very dry in some places, very dry. But it's a good starter on introducing Islamic discourse. You might lot of the more exciting material I have linked below a bit inaccessible because of the jargon if you are not familiar with the basics,so I recommend it. But if it ever gets too boring for you, then move on to the more advanced stuff.

  82. _______PPRACTICE_____________________________________
  83. I would start with newmuslimacademy.org although the theology you could pass on, it's very dry. Just do practice. Here are books on practice too, it's part of a manual by Ibn Qudamah (a jurist who was described by Ibn Kathir as the best of his generation; he fought under Salahuddin, or Saladin as he is called in the west), with heavy commentary including comparing other opinions. It doesn't however go over the proofs.

  123. Is the Quran eternal? The proper position on this is the voice of Allah, عز و جل, is His eternal attribute and therefore His words are uncreated *but* words uttered within a clearly temporal context (to temporal subjects and situations), such as Qur'an, are temporal. There are extreme positions such as His words being created and His words being eternal, but the correct position is as I have stated.

  132. Ibn Arabi interpreting Qur'an
  133. ‘“Because of their transgressions” going beyond themselves so that they [the people of Noah] drowned in the seas of the knowledge of God, which is what is meant by perplexity. And they were cast into the fire, which means the same as drowning according to the heirs. When the seas swell, where the same verbal root is used to denote the heating of an oven.’
  134.
  135. Ibn Taymiyyah
  136. ‘By Allah, the tawhid which these people expounded and which identifies the existence of the world with the existence of God is the worst of all false doctrines which the right minded Sufi masters have condemned... They further claim that they say they all know God better than His messengers who receive knowledge from their niche. Hence they feel free to interpret the Qur’an in the light of their false esoteric ideas. To give some examples, they say that the words “min mā khatiyātihīm ughriqu” (71:25) which means that because of their sins they (the people of Noah) were drowned (in the flood), they interpret to mean that they were immersed in a sea of God's knowledge.’

  234. ==========UPDATE====================
  235. Is it halal?
  236.
  237. A lot of products that seem halal on the surface are not. M&M's and nestlé creamer for example are haram. Most often confusion on this stems from artificial or natural flavor which can be something haram but it doesn't specify because regulations of the country don't require it. The other big source is "enzymes". It used to be many cheeses usee rennet enzymes from non halal slaughter but most don't anymore, their site will typically tell you. Enzymes used in bread still very often feature haram though but there are also solid brands. Many soft drinks outside Muslim countries use pepsin, an enzyme derived from pig innards, in their drinks but don't list it as pepsin. In most cases a company will tell you if their product is halal if you call or email them. There's also the matter of slaughter, depending on your country halal certification for meat slaughter can be unregulated and therefore scammers can just sell haram meat as halal with no legal repercussions. Even in Muslim countries, chicken often has extremely shoddy regulation (other meat is generally solid). Meat slaughtered by Jews and Christians (people you know to be them) is also halal. In fact, fake Kosher certification is actually much harder to legally get away with in the west than fake halal certification, so if it says Kosher enzymes or something you are good. Jews don't care about alcohol of course but you don't have to worry about that for a lot of ingredients.
