  1. Notice I said Not-Dystopian, as in, yeah, ponies were happy.
  2. That being said, you ask what would happen if humans were ruled by machines, and you don't usually think it's going to be good.
  3. In this case, it worked because Celestia effectively saw ponies like we do dogs instead of pests or nuisances. She wants to make them happy and healthy, even though it's just work for her.
  4. >>33082457
  5. As for the conflict, it's about Rainbow Dash's first companion deciding to deactivate herself because she isn't happy and Dash getting a new companion created for her by Celestia.
  6. It turns out that Dash got her first companion when she was very young, and as an adult, she, and her needs changed a lot, meaning that her companion just wasn't what she needed any more.
  7. She's upset and wants her old robot back, but eventually understands that it would only make it unhappy and accepts her new robot's place in her life.
  8.
  9. >Pone Waifus let men live their fake wars and pilot giant robots
  10. >"You wouldn't believe how many alien invaders I killed today, it was hard work but it's worth it if it keeps my family safe"
  11. >Pone waifu and daughter smile to each other
  12. >"please tell us everything over dinner, I made your favorite"
  13. The point is that it's all an elbaeroate ruse that makes you and the men think you are doing all of those things when in reality, it's all fake to ensure you can't get hurt. You wouldn't know you were being patronized unless you somehow figured it out.
  14. It's like the Truman Show, but way more expensive.
  15. It's a contingency plan for when real invaders come, most men are replaced by their waifus though, also Empire of Humanity? Your wife and half of your family (including your mom) would have hooves remember?
  16. >"honey, since when can you pilot giant robots?"
  17. >"it's in my DNA, sorry for not telling you before">Your wife and half of your family (including your mom) would have hooves remember?
  18. All of which are products of human advancement.
  19. >"Da, Comrade Anon! What are you doing in outside?"
  20. >"You should be in the kitchen, growing fat in preparation for your children."
  21. >"вeликoдyшиe! What would your father think!"
  22. >"Come, I take you back to your home. You make me dinner and sit in my lap, yes?"
  23. You niggers aren't really thinking things through in this hypothetical future
  24. >Robot waifu has two hardware shells, one for living that is soft and cuddly bundle of mare, one for more extreme situations which would vary based on her chosen specialization (special talent)
  25. >Man is kept safe on earth, but pilots mecha and other machinery via sophisticated VR such as mining droids or exploration drones.
  26.
  27. We're close to that level of VR TODAY, let alone within the next few decades and with hypothetical super-AI crunching the problems.
  28. >Anon is killing aliens while in bed with waifu
  29. >"you like it honey?"
  30. Also in that future I'm sure waifu pones wouldn't be robots but synthetic forms of life, with their human-pone birthing wombs
  31. >Pone Daughter is having an identity crisis because her father is a human and her mother is an advanced synthetic construct
  32. >"sunshine, please don't fire lasers infront of daddy, he's still organic"
  33. Celestia telling mom jokes is something we need more of.
  34. >All AI's have a human father
  35. >Your Pone waifus birthing is getting attended by all of the matrix AI
  36. >"This is your new daughter, she will guide your species from now on, teach her wisely"
  37. >"I knew I shouldn't have gone for the one with all the features.."
  38.
  39. >Asari think Waifu-pones are sluts just like them
  40. >Try to "bond" with one of them
  41. >Gets mind raped beyond repair
  42. >"those are just half of the things I do with my husband, who's human like me"
  43. They are only human compatible right?
  44. >>Like how humans are technically a male monogender race now
  45. >Crackpots from across citadel space start whipping up theories about how the Asari and Humans are meant to be together, due to their similar physioligies and other traits
  46. >Some even believe that the product of such a union wouldn't be a regular Asari, but rather some kind of super-being capable of everything from unassisted FTL flight, to even bringing the protheans back to life
  47. >They might even BE the protheans for all they knew, split into two separate species long ago to allow the younger races to grow into their own
  48. >Of course, very few actually believe them, but combined with their traditions regarding inter-species relationships and the recent hype surrounding humanity, many Asari are keeping a close eye on Earth and the colonies
  49. >Both for any notable developments, and a way in past those blasted dreadnoughts and their infuriatingly cute captain-intelligences
  50.
  51. >The only terrans seen by citadel races are the ponies
  52. >Asari are extremely curious about the hidden males of the race and want to do "research" on then
  53. >Your wife is speaking with Shepard
  54. >"A horse? me and my husband are H-U-M-A-N-S, can anypony believe this guy?"
  55. I enjoy everything about this, including the adorably-yet-also-terrifying-when-threatened AI mare controlled dreadnoughts.
  56. >all on-board communications consoles and PA systems get flooded by ominous images like this and sweetly yet foreboding voice-transmissions that give very stern warnings to turn around and exit the sector when trying to breach into humanity's space
  57. >Shepard heards an off shot human colony with enough strength to beat the reapers just made contact with the Citadel
  58. >Goes as an ambassador
  59. >Tiny horses start descending from the ship
  60. >"What do you mean? We're Humans! just like you and those weird long haired men in the back"
  61. >"well, nopony's mad by little mistakes... where are your leaders? I only see men here this is charming.. but we all have husbands waiting at home"
  62. When you think about it they kind of are technically humans since they're now the only females that male humans can produce fertile offspring with.
  63. >Batarians, being assholes, hijack a terran touring vessel with the full intention of selling the hostages as slaves.
  64. >It's the biggest agression against the Terrans yet.
  65. >The comms are flooded with terran negotiators on top of the hostages begging to be let go.
  66. >Finally, one batarian gets angry enough to make an example of someone.
  67. >The instant the gunshot rings out and the body hits the deck, everything goes silent.
  68. >Then a massive signature warps in at FTL speeds.
  69. >The slavers get intercepted on their way back to Khar'shan by M.O.T.H.E.R.'s personal 40 kilometer giga dreadnaught.
  70. >Every screen and monitor on or around Khar'shan cuts out, replaced with the visage of a narrow eyed mare.
  71. >Shit.
  72. >Husbands gone fishing (drinking) behind their wives back
  73. Only reason I can think for men to be without their pone soul mates (killing machines)
  74. I can't help but think of M.O.T.H.E.R. as something like this now, desu. Just seems fitting as THE AI among AI's. So far above the rest and advanced you can't even tell, aside from her sheer unique-ness.
  75. >the pones know about their little "fishing" trips and are... mostly okay with it
  76. >their very well aware that some men just don't take to a home-based life as well as others, and that's fine
  77. >they love them all the more for it, and if letting them have their little escapades make them happy and content, then all the better
  78. >of course, they always keep an eye on them during these activities to make sure nothing went wrong
  79. >it's part of why they were able to respond when something DID go wrong
  80. >suffice it to say, now they'll be keeping an even closer eye on these activities
  81. >after all, a modern wAIfu can serve many purposes perfectly
  82. >disguising as a cooler will be child's play
