- "I’ve torn tongues out for less terrible puns…"
- Dun would nod in approval as he clasped the crucible tightly with his gauntlet, the remaining alloy left after their work was done just enough for the final task at hand. It was going to be the kind of work that legends were made of; as if the rifle was not complicated enough as is. With oozing persistence, the alloy would trail down the edge of the molten container and began its path, layering the entire expanse of the rifle from the trigger mechanism on in a synthetic casing, clearly trying to complete the binding of the old Boomstick with its new form.
- It was a slow but precise progress, encapsulating the heavy machinery of the over-under double barreled rifle in such a manner that it was completely concealed, but for the chrono-accelerator to the side that was left purposefully unencapsulated by the metal. Hammering, rapid blows would ensure the solidified, reinforced casing didn’t waste a drop of material as a hard energy mould surrounded it tightly, forming the final visualized shape of the casing as it was allowed to briefly cool before the next step.
- "With the casing installed, it’s rune time kiddo. I’m going to be working on chiseling every inch of the casing with the necessary scribes of redirection, amplification, stockpiling, typical work for rifling if you’re not a novice. While I’m doing that, you’re going to do….something rifty. Whatever mastery you’ve achieved in your studies, this is the time to show it off kid. Imbue this thing with runes of the power you’ve seized."
- Nodding lightly, his clawed digits would begin to carve into the casing with rapidity, countless interwoven, layered runes being woven in, interweaved with the soulsteel wiring that was concealed inside as the various runes were socketed to the extra wiring. The chassis would not just serve as a shiny cover, it was clear that it was what very well complete the anti-material manarifle. It would bring it all together.
- "Impress me."

- Finally, an opportunity for him to shine.
- Hades removes both of his gloves this time and scrolls through his lexicon of rune knowledge, looking for the proper ones to place on the weapon. Where Wayfinding revolved around the positive side and connection to the Spirit Realm, Riftmancy was an art that appealed to the darker side of things.
- Helheim. Terraheim's lower quarters. Regions and realms of the supernatural intended for Mankind to suffer through, rather than live peacefully with.
- But that was the reason why he sought to understand and master it. And he had. All that remained was for him to show it off.
- Over the span of the next few moments, the youth can be seen drawing and engraving runes of various sizes onto the rifle. It all seems to be mumbo-jumbo until...
- They light up at the same time and take on a sickly, ethereal glow.
- "Rinn - Accel."
- Or Excel, as one might have said to the fallen dragonlord.
- Hades' left hand swipes down to tear a portal to the Spirit Realm asunder, only for another to open above him.
- "With this work of art, I'll do my part to change the fabric of humanity forever. It'll be more than a rifle. More than something to remember Rinn by.
- When people see this?
- They'll know that the evolution of mankind is right around the corner."
- And he grips the base tight, only to throw it through the portal to his left. After a few moments of it being stuck in limbo, it drops from the second portal and into his hand.
- "And it'll always come back to me. Like a fuckin' boomerang."

- Dun would clap with applause at his son's efforts as he continued his own final touches. Intricate amplification runes where the lense was centred, redistribution and acceleration upon the lengths of the twin barrels and the casing that encompassed them. And of course in-depth stockpiling runes in the stock and butt, ensuring each blast reabsorbed even the recoil for use against the enemy with barrages of kinetic energy.
- It was truly a magnificent weapon.
- The runes his son wove brought a brief pause from the elder Task, and for a moment it was as if Rinn was there by his side, timid and yet boundlessly brave, always desiring to make him proud. She always had...
- The wiring from within would link and latch in with the running lining as the inner rifle barrels and outer chassis were finally seamlessly linked and attuned, each accelerator and coil that rung the insides of the anti-material mana railgun was refined to perform its purpose in the grand, clockwork construction to the utmost tune, key, and timing.
- The chrono-accelerator that was encased upon the right side of the rifle beside the inner accelerating ticked and tocked cheerfully, almost as if a faithful companion that would always be by Hades' side even in his darkest hours and timelines. It would never leave him, never be a different clock.
- It would always be HIS clock. His timeline's clock. His moment's clock.
- With the stock, barrel, and chassi along with the intricate hair trigger mechanism of the rift claw, the rifle was almost six feet in length bottom to top. It was the size of a man, and it would kill many in its new life with certainty.
- Checking over Rinn's Retort one last time, as if once more the father having to give away his daughter, Dun would harden his heart before tossing it to Hades with a firm nod as the process was at last complete.
- "She is yours now, Hades. Rinn's Retort will always be by yourside, there is only one thing left to do. Offer YOUR retort to the world, to the rifle, to her. Declare what you are going to do as the prince of time and space my son."
- His job here was done, Rinn's Retort rung forth from the rifle that had been her beginning and end.

- A declaration? Simple enough.
- Accepting the completed railgun of a rifle from his father, Hades raises it back up to point at the ceiling. It was heavier now, but nothing that the adept wizard could not handle.
- "It's simple. I'll be the one to usher mankind into a war against the divine. To claim back our birth right."
- Considered madness coming from most. But from him?
- It came from a logical place. One that was not satisfied with the hand man was dealt.
- "We were meant to stand beside the divine, not beneath them. And with this weapon, I'll slay the primordials and those that worship them until only the righteous walk this plane. This is the beginning of a war on divinity, Father."
- Or so he convinced himself.
- His index finger pulls down on the trigger in a slow, method motion, only for the entire process to be sped up as the rift runes and acceleration magic kick in.
- A resounding boom echoes out from the weapon and fires a beam upwards, shredding through the room of the home they grew up in.
- "The Sky is the limit here. But it will also be our next platform."
- (Hades Task)
